So the Rose Bowl, Ohio State, and Clemson are gonna sit this one out?

They haven't confirmed if they are having it this year or not.

Ohio State and Clemson are slated to be playing in the Rose Bowl, but they aren't in the SEC so they aren't listed in the "SEC Bowl Predictions".

LSU is not going to pass on a bowl game. We’ve been to a bowl for 20 straight years. Orgeron is not going to take the fall for breaking that streak no matter how bad LSU is this season

So, if the Cotton Bowl is a NY6 game, why do they play it in December?

Fricking youngsters with no sense of tradition.

Because the Sugar and Rose demand to be on New Year's Day. The television arrangements can only appease so many bowls. The playoff has shifted a lot of the traditional January 1 games to late December.

You get a pass. It's kinda early, and I'm only through a half cup of coffee myself.
