That wouldn't have surprised me if he stayed undefeated and won a NC (we might still win a NC but it is a LOOOONG shot I know) but with a loss and a BCS bowl....Nah 2 or 3 more years IMO

He'd be a fool not to go! Urban's medical issues disappeared when he took the OSU job!

UT gonna clone him, hence the 12 million per year is a bargain for owning him forever. Next time apply some critical thinking skills to this situation please.

In his statement, why did the UT Pres specifically talk about contact with Saban? I would think a simple statement of "We have a coach and we are going to evaluate at the end of the Season" would suffice.

I think Sexton/Saban upset that things are starting to leak from UT side and requested a statement. UT pres gives a vague statement addressing the Saban issues.

Pretty much.

All we lack is an eyewitness who lives in Saban's neighborhood to peep on Saban and give us an accounting of his movements.

This is the way Sexton/Saban typically work the end of the year. Funny how at the end of years that aren't as glamorous they pull the biggest squeeze plays. Sexton finds a sexy job that has open pockets. The flirtation begins. Sexton lets info leak, nick denies, both bidders deny and the bidding war flares. It's a win win situation. Either nick gets a cushy new job or a hefty raise. This is why I'm glad he isn't at LSU any more. It's always fun to see him squeeze Bama at the end of the year. Sexton is a pimp and Nick is a whore.

But...but ...but Oyster.....Saban LOVES Bama. It's not about the money....it's about history, the tradition. He'd never squeeze Bama or get them into a bid war by using deceit or misdirection. Right. Funny thing is we are doing Saban's work for him right now on this very site.....

Every year he was here... It's amazing he was able to recruit as well as he did.

Amazing. 12 of the 18 non-stickied threads on page one are about Saban to Texas, or Kirby or Nuss moving on. Two of those threads were started by Bama folks. The rest by Aubs, LSUers, Pigs...

The fascination that you all apparently have for us is truly heartwarming.

Maybe not you all, but the head coach is of particular interest to us.

We should be charging rent for the space he occupies in our collective mind.
