Just giving Saban more rat poison. Seriously though, I don’t think we’ll see him win another natty.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Say what you will, but their only two losses were against teams who are on the come up in 2 very hostile environments in hard fought games. If he drops a game to Arky or Miss St then it’d get interesting.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Not yet at least. They'll still be the best team LSU has to play this season.

Well thats all well and good but they didn't have a quarterback when converted RB Blake Sims was going to be their starter. They went to the playoff.

They didn't have a quarterback when 3 star transfer Jake Coker was in line to take over. He won a title.

They didn't have a quarterback when Blake Barnett and Jalen Hurts would both play the opener against USC. They went to the title game.

They didn't have a quarterback when career backup Mac Jones was taking over for Tua. They won a title.

Heard it before but sure...this is going to be the year it doesn't work out. We can all hope so but when's the last time Saban didn't have a quarterback who couldn't, at the least, stay out of the way.

Alabamas best years are behind them. That is not debatable but to say Bama is done or not a contender or something is foolish.

It’s wishful thinking.

But you know what? Fk it. Saban drinks Geritol and ODs on viagra just so he can feel alive these days.

Bryce Young has been covering up a lot of things wrong at Bama the last two seasons.

Probably an accurate comment. Statistics, heisman, everything else be damned, BoB was a shite coordinator. Hell, any of us could call plays when things are working. But he had no instinct to maintain momentum or take advantage of obvious mismatches. I won’t ever forgive him for 3 consecutive passes against aTm with 1st/goal from the 4.

think they take a step back this season.

Possible, not likely. Taking a step back would indicate a minimum 3 losses and looking worse against lsu and tennessee. It isn’t possible to look worse against tennessee. The defensive penalties alone were indicative of a lack of discipline.

I do expect an improved defense, more of a return to murder ball, and chunk plays in the passing game.

To be fair, you lost some very impactful talent.

Your OC is in his second year ever of running an offense.

Your DC was 68th in opposing scoring last season.

I agree with those sentiments. But I also believe both coordinators are improvements. It’s gonna be a transition either way. Whether Young has a super successful pro career or not, he was an awesome college talent. I think it’s fair to say lsu hasn’t replaced Joe yet?

They were done after Sumlin and Johhny Manziel exposed Saban's outdated defense.

They were done after Malzahn took over and Saban simply couldn't keep up with the new up and coming wave of coaches.

They were done after Dabo exposed Saban as a has been.

They were done after Coach O finally took Saban down.

Sure they kept winning national championships after these death blows, but believe the pundits when they say it this time, aight?
