This is a strange one. Unlike Alabama and Florida who you know would absolutely just blow the brakes off this LSU team, A&M could be a good game. They probably win, and could blow us out, but LSU has a chance at least

I'd be amazed if LSU keeps it under 17 points even if we play as well as we can. We really suck in every facet of the game and our team has given up while Aggie has their best team in years. I think our players have basically conceded as the talent gap is just WAY too much to overcome. Aggie can just coast through this one.

A&M can't lose.

I could see a single digit game. With a few exceptions, Jimbo generally doesn't blowout conference teams. He focuses on controlling TOP. I expect mond to have a big game in the air though after he starts off a little rusty.

Realistically the Aggies should steamroll LSU. They lead CFB in 3rd down conversions and lead the SEC in D. Our OL is still struggling, Finley has done well, but is limited, our LB and safety play is horrific and Pelini can't clean up the mental mistakes. I'm sure Jimbo and Mond want to make up for getting curb stomped 50-7 last year and they likely will get their wish.

Interestingly, LSU has given Manziel and Mond their worst outings of their CFB careers, but that was with Aranda running the D.

If Chase, Vincent and Shelvin hadn't opted out and Brennan had stayed healthy we would have had a respectable, not great season. As it is we are at a point where this season is about developing players and finding positives to build on for 2021.

How is LSU's rush defense looking?

Awful for the first 5 games. Much better last week.

We changed LBs for the last game, and the new guy, Baskerville, was a pretty big improvement. Also, it took us 5 weeks to learn the middle school concept of contain on the edges. We still had one big play lose contain last week, but 1 play is a huge improvement over the previous weeks where it felt like every play lost contain.... So while I still don't think they are good, I am cautiously optimistic that they are improving.

This game comes down to several factors. First, how long does it take A&M to knock off the rust? More importantly, how does A&M's running game look? That will be the determining factor in whether this is a close game or not

A&M should easily beat LSU by 3+ scores. Regardless of rain, players available, etc. this should be a very lopsided victory for the Ags to take a decade worth of frustrations off on LSU. Anything but that should be considered unacceptable by Jimbo and Aggies, especially with this being the worst fielded LSU team in over two decades and the best A&M team in over two decades.......with all that being said, I could see this being an ugly contested football going well into the 4th quarter with LSU having an outside shot at an upset. We will see..

Don’t do this. We are actually hoping Leach kicks the rebs arse Thursday. Seeing Kiffin bitch and moan after a Leach arse whipping would be so great.

Manziel's Heisman year. If he didn't have to face FL in the second week of the season (RS Fish year), A&M probably wins it all. No team in CFB was playing as well as A&M at the end of that year

Manziel may have been a cokehead, but damn was that kid fun to watch

I mean, yeah, probably, but maybe not. LSU is really really really really bad this year sporting the worst defense in the school’s history, a swiss cheese o-line, a true freshman qb, and a completely uninspiring stable of rbs. This is arguably A&M’s best team in decades, so the Ags, by all means, should win this game.

Didn't that season include a 24-19 loss to LSU? Johnny threw 3 INTs in that game.

LSU was the one team that definitely had Manziel's number. I still think if we'd retained Kingsbury after that season, we win it all the next

This is the scariest game remaining on our schedule. LSU has the talent. If they take the defense out of Pelini’s hands they can win.

I'd be 100% down to make a bet with you on that, but I'm 100% certain you would welch on it anyway when you lose so it'd be a waste of time.
