It's pretty much a given that LSU was never going to risk the fines/suspensions listed as penalties when the rule was released. Not to mention possible CFP exclusion.
So I'm not sure why the conference completely overreacted and sued LSU and then threatened expulsion...

And that is less than what Rutgers brought in from their 2025 B1G distributions.
That fact alone tells you who should Really be expelled.

SEC would also be in material breach of that contract and responsible for compensatory damages.
