The courts have upheld conference rules almost exclusively. So, yes, the conferences can do as they wish.

The NCAA lawsuits worked because it was a blanket restriction on their market. Conference restrictions will become much more complicated, as the conference individually are allowed to be more restrictive than the NCAA. So even if the NCAA is forced by the courts to allow a blanket set of exclusion, you are still stuck with the conference rules.

Texas trial group
Texas Trial Group is actually a law firm in Puerto Rico and currently have active cases against the NCAA. They are making money off of these players, no wonder they support them.

I am ignoting that trial group as anything relevant.

The Big 10 is about to find out the hard way as well…the courts will slap them down…they are going to FAFO…

Then the conference can uphold the NCAA ruling on Trinidad Chambliss, or they can try LSU in a Baton Rouge courtroom.

Great write up backing the SEC statement. If you CHOOSE to go pro, you shouldn’t get to come back. Those forced due to the change in ruling aren’t included in that.
Either way, this shouldn’t happen again next year. One time ruling to account for only those impacted

No but they would actually need to rule against the SEC and they have less grounds to do so than the NCAA.

Dude we made it to the sec championship in our first year while you never made conference championship and we are 2-0 against yall in rivalry week. (No offense)
