Doesn’t Texas participate in the most sports. If they didn’t win every year it would be rather strange.

So far, they have not been champions of any of the big three.

Carefully crafted statement I see.

While many SEC teams win NCs in many sports, the only ones you hear about or really see on this forum are the Big 3.

Let me put it this way, even when Vanderbilt won 3 NC in women's bowling, they did not brag about it. It was only when they won the NC in baseball they bragged.

There is no big 3 unless you count football, football recruiting, and spring football practice.

Good job. Don't let LSU posters (who think WBB and baseball are on the same level as football) say it doesn't matter.

Spoken like a Bammer. A has-been Bammer. You need a few more middle-of-the-road seasons to get you adjusted to the new reality.

Deboer had a good thing going in Washington. He probably regrets leaving that to be stuck in Alabama smelling Saban's farts in the hallway and living in his shadow.

There is also football talking season which runs from about January to September. Texans really do not understand exactly what football is in the deep south...they mistakenly assume that it is the most important of many sports. In reality it is the only one that matters at all. No one cares about baseball or basketball or women's soccer. They are as important as tiddlywinks...a nice diversion for some folks but otherwise no one cares....

I believe you will find that most Gator fans know and respect what this trophy represents, the best athletic dept in the SEC. UF dominated it for years. Fans of teams that don't put effort or funding into sports other than the big 3 want to minimize or ignore it. The SEC all sports trophy is a big deal and whatever school wins it should be congratulated.

No surprise we won that. Imagine what happens when we become SEC ready!

A few things, football isn't any more important in the south than it is in Texas, it's king in both places. Also, I live in the Deep South and people sure seem to care about basketball & baseball, I guess they're just faking it.

Texas A&M made a splash in their first season and thought they were going to own the conference, but here we are. I'd pumped the brakes on the bravado.

I can’t remember ever hearing about this “trophy” until Texas joined the league.

Yes, Gator fans have been cool, thanks! Others are trying to tear down what they might not have, as a backwards way to make themselves feel good.

I prefer builders and strivers, and hard workers myself! Anyone can be a critic…

Fine, feel free to substitute the Director’s Cup, as the SEC All-Sports Trophy and Director’s Cup track in a similar way…
