Anyone who has watched CFB for more than a year or two knows the rankings are meaningless this early in the season. We're #1 for a reason, but the best CFB team is the one still standing in January.

The Texas D is legit. Giving up only three touchdowns over 14 quarters is good no matter how you look at it.

It’s becoming more and more difficult for elite teams to play with any kind of consistency due to the revolving door that is the transfer portal.

I think most felt that way coming into this game. I still vote them no. 1 though based on their win vs. OSU. OSU is a proven commodity over the last several years and it's the best win anyone has so far. But highly unlikely Texas makes it through their schedule without getting dinged a couple of times.
