Yep. Coach wanted to deflect from losing the game.

It’s happened before. What is it with these Texas coaches getting into their feels after a loss?

Can’t blame Aggies for this sore loser shite.

Bring back Beard!!

The reality:
We will suck in basketball in perpetuity because of this bullshite with Chris Beard. I still stand behind the decision to fire him, but it just sucks knowing that he was our chance to be good.

Either way.. Rodney Terry is not HIM.

It’s crazy to me how anyone doesn’t love the horns down. Personally, I’ve been doing it since at least the 80s. That mixed with a good old Tuck Fexas is basically perfecto.

Texas may well be coming into the SEC at the right time.

Alabama will get right, may not take much of a step backwards, but Texas is DEFINITELY in a good position coming into the conference. NFL QB returning from a playoff team? Arguably in better shape than anyone in the conference with UGA being in the same spot. I don't know a lot about what Texas is replacing or the schedule (the schedule is going to be tough no matter how easy it is because its a SEC schedule) but from a mile high look Texas is entering the conference in better shape than anyone ever has....

Yea… not a single Texas fan is defending this. Soft move that makes the rest of the school look weak. If it hurts your feeling so bad, maybe don’t let the other team beat you?

The honeymoon is over for Rodney Terry. I’d be surprised if he gets a second year which is wild

Texas won’t have the Big 12 cakewalk…but make no mistake…they will be competing and a factor every year in all sports. You dont believe it? Check out their athletic dept revenue. I don’t like them, but they will be a force.

Terry was a bad hire. Hes a token hire that rode the coattails

They had a chance to hire an elite coach. He’ll be gone in a year

Edit- in spite of aggy fairytales, horns down was NEVER banned in the Big12 and it won't be in the SEC either. I'd be very disappointed if the SEC didn't allow players to display their intellect (or lack thereof) for TV cameras, lulz.

You really should learn to use "Google". It will keep you from looking so ignorant.

Horns Down

Oh and thanks again for trying to twist this thread that has nothing to with A&M and try to make it about A&M.

Seems like A&M is living rent-free in yours.

Not a good look for RT. He should worry about what happened on the court. As for the melts on this board today, they’re exactly why I’m excited to join this conference. Wouldn’t expect anything less and love it.

Wait until they get a load of the Vandy Whistler or State’s cowbells or Tigah Bait/STTDB/Neck or UGA’s barking.

This is gonna be fun.

Wild but worst case scenario could be pretty ugly. He started conference play at 1-3 losing to conference cellar dwellers. He has a brutal stretch ahead by any standard with Baylor, Oklahoma, Houston, BYU, and TCU over the next few weeks. Starting 1-8 in conference is a hanging offense for any coach.

Ole Piss fans need to realize Beard could easily leave for a blue blood or a tier down from that. Ole Miss is not a destination job. Beard can do so much better.
