If this upsets them? Holy shite. Every fanbase and team in this league will absolutely use that horns down thing and hope it upsets them.

Welcome to Southeastern sports, Texas. We don't play nice down here when it comes to sports.

Texas coach upset about "horns down"

blah blah blah. Every team does horns down in every sport. Terry is deflecting from the fact that the worst team in the league just beat him at home. He'll be gone next year and we'll be taking Chris Beard back.

Texas' coach looks like a bed wetting liberal, which is what I'd expect.

Yeah, he's going to come running back to a place that fired him over removed allegations. Not a chance is that going to happen. The improvement to our program so quickly has shown him that the right man could win big here.

Rodney Terry does not reflect the views of the University of Texas and our fans. Thanks a fricking lot, Beard!

He would come back in a heartbeat.

You fired him. You hired the new guy. So... all of that is on you.

Looks like we get to laugh at you being rejected too. I love how everyone underestimates us.

That's the basketball coach...correction "interim basketball coach who never left".

Every Texas alum and fan I know thinks it's amusing we live rent free in the heads of so many fanbases. We laugh every time we see gooners or aggy doing it when they're playing teams other than Texas. We consider it an IQ test with no test required.

Edit- in spite of aggy fairytales, horns down was NEVER banned in the Big12 and it won't be in the SEC either. I'd be very disappointed if the SEC didn't allow players to display their intellect (or lack thereof) for TV cameras, lulz.

Only because the AD and Prez were too quick on the trigger..didn't even give him a chance to have his day in court. Otherwise he'd come back in a heartbeat. You do know he's a Texas alum, right?

And what did that get him? You're speaking from emotion while disregarding the emotion of a man that was burned.

If Kentucky, Kansas, or Duke came calling, you bet your arse he'd be gone.

Nobody cares about horns down. Terry was upset because he choked. Every team does it (even in games Texas doesn’t play in). It’s lame to get upset about it.

I didn’t know that, that makes it worse.

As an OU fan who has had "the horns" shoved in my face plenty of times...

I do not mind a penalty on a player for sticking his hand in a player's face and doing horns up, down or sideways. But I don't think it should be any big deal other than that. Texas guy scores a TD. Stick your stupid two finger Bevo salute in the air proudly. If you score and you are on the other team? Put the horns down with all the disdain you can muster.

Just don't do it in the opponents face.

Which brings me to Terry. The UCF guys were doing it in the UCF huddle. After the game was over. Not a big deal. Not "classless" or "disrespectful". They weren't doing it in the handshake line. But as much as Terry was pissing and moaning... I wish one of the UCF players would have stuck a "horns down" in his face so he would have actually had something to complain about.

You know Bama will never recover from losing Saban
Texas may well be coming into the SEC at the right time.
Good grief that state has serious money and kids now are not loyal to any brand other than money and playing time.
I could be wrong but college football has changed and not for the better
