The issue with UF is they've really only had a relatively brief period of relevance.
UF was relevant from 1983-5 (the cheating charile pell years), 1990-2001 (the evil genius years), and 2006-2009 (the creepy Urban years).
That's it. If you disqualify their cheating years... 1990-2009 ( a 20 season stretch) is the only period where UF was really relevant in college football. All of their top 5 final finishes are in that condensed period of time.
UF was DOMINANT for 20 years. But they've been almost invisible other than that.

Umm... Muschamp is coming off being the co-DC for the 2022 UGA national championship team. In 2024 he moved to an off-field "analyst" role (which is where he was originally going to be in 2021 but UGA had a coach get sick and Muschamp moved from an analyst to special teams coach for UGA's 2021 title, then co-DC the year after)
Muschamp was an assistant coach for the following national titles:
2022 - UGA (DC)
2021 - UGA (special teams)
2003 - LSU (DC)
He was also the DC for the 2005 Texas team that lost in the NC game.
He's a pretty darn elite DC.

A team can not be kicked out; it could go to BIG 7 eventually, but as of again and another year has come and gone with no change. As for Florida, they are number 2 of the BIG 6.

Florida the State has 3 major Universities with multiple national titles...
The population of the State did not get high till ac was affordable, even after population took decades to grow.
It is why the Florida schools were crap till the 1980s as a whole...

Florida has only been allowed to be included in the club out of kindness. They really aren’t historically a sound program. It took them about 60 years to win the conference.

The Big 6 has a specific criteria. Stand-alone, unshared SEC title. I think the last non-Big 6er was OM in '64. (KY shared one in the '70s.)
And there's no shred of an argument that puts TN ahead of FL in the relevant time period.
