Oh no, you had to play Auburn before you played us.

Oh no you had injuries

No one else in the history of the planet had injuries or played tough teams.

And just remember - we went thru you

You - were on our schedule

Well Yeah...you didn't earn the right to play us. We did beat all the teams that beat you though soo, yeah.

Were the Vols and LSU FCS teams that year?

Sounds like football.

McCoy was one of the all-time greats of the sport and I think Alabama fans felt just as cheated as Texas fans to not get the opportunity to best him.

Nonetheless, the Tide earned it. There is no asterisk.

Congrats on your win. Well deserved.

But since that isn't enough for you.

You went 1-1 against us this year and lost @ home when Alabama was healthy.

You are 1-2 against Alabama in the past 2 years.

Your coach is 2-7 against Alabama in his career.

You are 2-10 against Alabama in the past 17 years.

If your coach can manage to win the next 5 in a row, he can get to .500 all time against Alabama.

Big difference between a heisman finalist in the natty being ruled out in the 1st quarter when your offense is built on his accuracy vs bama being injured in a conference title game

Heck I don't think I've ever seen one bring up Colt McCoy.

I take it you have never perused any of the Texas boards.

They beat him off the field and into the locker room.

We went 13-0 playing nothing but FBS teams consisting of the best 11 opponents the SEC had to offer and 2 playoff teams.

I actually didn't realize this and looked at the standings. You were the #1 SEC team and you literally had to play #2 - #12, and only got to skip #13 and #14. It's wild that people do the asterisk troll against this team.

Bama fans and bringing up irrelevant shite that means nothing - Name a more iconic duo

But it was kind of Texas fault he was injured.

I think it was a speed sweep that Texas called. The play broke down on multiple levels for Texas. Starting with the Alabama corner read the play and cut off the pitch man. This causes Colt to keep the ball instead of pitching it and he turns up field. Your O-line on the right side tried to do some cut blocks, but Alabama lineman shoved them to the ground, stepped over them and was otherwise left unblocked and slammed into Colt from the side.

Freak injury happens(allegedly).

I still think Alabama would have won anyway(game was won in the trenches), but no doubt it had a huge impact on Texas and we didn't play them at 100%. It would be dumb for anyone to pretend otherwise. I don't feel it at all cheapens the win because that's just football. But I could never flex and pretend we beat some great full strength Texas team.

That's just a flat out lie. The entire reason Georgia fans got all pumped up about the win is because of the past, and rightfully so. It was getting pretty bad, as even the now improved stats I gave you show.

You scored as often as you could. Of course, setting you up on our own 12 yard line made that pretty easy. Hell, you had good field positions all game really due to our offensive issues.

Alabama played an extremely tough November schedule while Georgia did not.

Do you really think so? This November UGA played
Florida - Neutral (4-8),
@MSU (5-7)
Texas (9-3)
Charlotte
GT - Neutral (9-3)

Bama played
LSU (7-5)
OU (10-2)
Eastern Illinois
@Auburn (5-7)

UGA didn't have a bye in November so played an extra game, had 2 home games rather than 3 and in terms of the teams with winning records played two 9-3 teams rather than a 10-2 and 7-5.

And UGA won all of their November games too, which Bama didn't.

This. Marcel Dareus was a man child and beat our interior OL on the play. Same problem we still have against the Bama’s & Georgia’s of the world. And, until we teach those guys in the middle to play with more of a nasty streak, I wouldn’t expect that to change.

No, but they can sure shower a field with water bottles if the call doesn't go their way, Not sure implying they have some degree of class is the opinion most would agree with.

We saw what happened when both teams were healthy back in September. Alabama won. If the SECCG were played earlier in the season, Alabama would be the SEC Champions.
