And Sankey left that brand value on the table.

It's pretty obvious Texas and to a lesser extent Oklahoma would be very good assets to have on hand with the next round of rights negotiations. The people at SECRant just like to give us grief.

So, ranked versus ranked games attract more viewers than FCS slaughters and rent-a-win games?

Who knew?

They've played big games already in 2026 against Notre Dame and Penn State. One could argue it was fans (or haters) of the other two teams that brought the eyeballs.

Correct. One more reason to fire Sankey. It should happen soon but if it doesn't happen before the next media negotiations this conference is fricked.

When you have more data points Texas regresses back to their mean.

Fair but still proves OP point. You brought massive markets to the sec when adding Texas and ou and that makes everyone else more money

Yet your own source shows that Texas is a Top 5 program in viewership from 2015-2019. I assure you there was some terrible football being played on the Forty Acres in those years.

Ohio State — 5.5M
Alabama — 5.46M
Georgia — 4.63M
Michigan — 4.44M
Texas — 3.86M
