I don't know. Probably like 63rd in recruiting with a weird coach from Idaho.

It's actually impossible to rewatch that game and not come back with a lesser opinion of Alabama. Imagine the greatest head coach of all time not being able to put away Garrett Gilbert until the end of the 4th.

Imagine running a conference yet only being able to win it 3 times.

Very true. Bama snuck by the great Super Bowl champion Garret Gilbert (better than The Nooch, but irrelevant. ) Texas wins bigly with Colt in.

it was an ok not great rushing performance

This after Chip Brown and your other message board clowns were so sure that your top-ranked rushing defense would be more than enough to stop Ingram and Richardson. Both running backs ran for over 100 yards, averaging well over five yards per carry, while scoring two touchdowns a piece.

Someone doesn't understand that 4 x 3 = 1st down.

Oof.

oh that simple huh? Why don’t more teams just run it every play then?

78 teams had a yards per rush average 4.0 or better this past season for example

Hate to admit it, but the hit was fine. It was just incredibly unlucky. He took Ndamukong Suh obliterating his body in the Big 12 championship game, then a weak arse hit --just in the right place-- took him out.

But if he survives this hit, it changes everything.

Please do not bring this Texas delusion here. It’s one of the more pathetic claims by a fanebase there is.

Obviously we were the ones that allowed it by not being able to keep Saban or pulling a mulligan and firing that grass eating loser and taking him back. I don’t care what situation we were in in 2006. We should have known who actually got us there.

I see you got out of the gorilla suit. How’s the harvest looking for frozen concentrated orange juice?

I don’t think so. Saban might have been delayed but he would not be denied. Had he lost, he might have embraced the wide open offense sooner actually.

From the beginning Texas had all the momentum. Saban was even chucking fake punt passes for interceptions from his own redzone before the injury.

So Texas had all of the momentum and Saban was in desperation mode 3.5 minutes into the game? Your tongue is so deep up Bevo's arse you're tasting ribeye.

You want truth. I'll give you the truth. Colt took one hit from a nfl caliber dt and quit. When his xray came back negative, that meant he could play if he chose to. He and his dad made a business decision that night. Colt McCoy is a bitch who quit on his team when they needed him the most.

I think the latter was very likely to occur. It's the reverse of what happened to Mack.

Colt wasn’t playing left tackle when Eryk Anders came in unblocked to force a crucial fumble that sealed the title for Bama.

It really doesn’t matter, though. Alabama won the trophy that night and has won 5 more national titles since. They’ve proven themselves. Texas fell off a cliff.
