No one will defend the play-calling. McElwain got us in the same situation a year later against Auburn and it didn't work out nearly as well.

No, we haven’t because A&M left. We couldn’t function as a conference without them, so we had to follow them to greener pastures.

This is a stupid debate that no one can win.. but i’ll take the bait anyways..
Texas 100% had the momentum. I do think that Texas probably would have won the game if he hadn’t been hurt at Sonic.
That being said, it felt like Alabama went into cruise control once he went out.. basically waiting for Texas to screw up.. and we did a lot. The fact that Texas had the ball in the 4th quarter with a chance to go ahead.. that was a miracle all by itself after 4 turnovers.
If y’all ran the same offense that you would have run with or without the injury, then I think Texas wins by 14+.. I know you will disagree, but that is my opinion.
If you did run a vanilla offense because of the injury, then I would have liked to have seen that game with both teams at full strength. I hate injuries in sports for either side..
TLDR: Colt got hurt. Texas lost. frick Alabama. frick the guy at Sonic that kicked Colt’s arse.

Don’t you mean if Colt hadn’t been a pussy and sacked up and played, things might have been different? Bama’s QB was playing with cracked ribs and couldn’t throw a forward pass. But he nutted up and played. GMac might not have been an All-American but he was tough and played his heart out.
