Texas was a spread offense, not an RPO offense. Alabama would have changed to that after losing to Florida in 2008 if that was true.

What are you even nitpicking here? Are you really trying to talk to a Big 12 fan about offenses? Seriously? Y'all got baby's first offense 5 years ago and now you think you're the expert?

And like I said, Saban was wrong. He didn't realize it in 2008. I still assume he'd have realized it after getting blown out by Colt. When you get assblasted like that you really have to stop and think about why.

Can you get hit late on a sack, standing upright, with the ball still in your hand and no whistle?

Reminds me of the barner I used to know who constantly described Kent Waldrep's injury as having resulted from a "defensive clip." I'm not smart enough to make that up; that's actually what he insisted had happened.

The rule changes in 2008 (play clock and how fast the ball was reset) are what allowed the HUNH to flourish. It took five years for the rule to change to allow the defense to substitute if the offense did so.

The spread offense was not a new concept in 2009. You honestly don’t think Saban understood spread concepts?

The fact remains that “muh Colt McCoy” and his parents pulled him from the game when he was cleared to play. Your program has never recovered because it’s littered with pussies on every level, and resides in a liberal shithole that now rivals San Francisco.

fricking teasips.

You guys are all conflating various aspects of different offensive schemes or concepts used in the Big 12 lmao and I really don't feel like explaining it all to you

dude. it's not a "think" at this point. it's a KNOW. we KNOW Saban was wrong about spread concepts. alabama is now unstoppable because of it...

so yes, you're welcome

Nice deflection. You got beat by an “inferior” concept on offense then. Does that make you feel any better?

I notice how you failed to address the fact that Colt pulled himself from the game, and that your program is littered with pussies. I take it you concede those points.

Alabama had an 18 point lead going into the half.

I really don't know why you keep trying to claim Texas/Big12 was doing what offenses are doing now back then.

Especially since Texas has been unable to replicate it.

Oh that's right you scored 24 in the 2nd...wow that's actually even more pathetic than I thought then. You actually let Garrett Gilbert claw his way back into it?

That means this was a pretty undisciplined Nick Saban squad too if they let their foot off the gas. Even less impressive...

I want you to say "Thank you Mack Brown for helping popularize offensive concepts that led to our best team in program history. I hope we can go better than 5-5 next year. "

How did going better than 5-5 work out for you last year? Oh yeah, we went to a meaningless bowl game so we can validate our weak arse selves. All while destroying our third conference.

2005 dipshit.

Are people seriously still whining about Colt breaking his clit? And speaking of Colt, isn't he the one with the brother who was watching the other Texas player bang the passed out chick?

She looked quite delicious I might say. That movie was released the year I was born, 1983. Saw it many times in on cable in the late 90s.

But when she did her sexy lingerie dance in True Lies, not only did Arnold Schwarzenegger drop his voice box recorder, but my jaw dropped!

It's actually impossible to rewatch that game and not come back with a lesser opinion of Alabama. Imagine the greatest head coach of all time not being able to put away Garrett Gilbert until the end of the 4th.

BAMA didn't just put Texas away, they put them away for over a decade now.

Think it has more to do with a generational coach going to a school with alumni/boosters that only care about football and with deep pockets to boot. Hell you can argue, along with ESPN, that he’s the reason the arms race began and the SEC feedback loop of being the best conference.

Completely talking out of your arse. No one buys this. Bama under Saban has had the greatest run ever. With or without Colt running into Marcel Dareus.
