If you are bragging to me about a national championship in 1969, you have no credibility. Zero. None. You have not won a football championship since 2005. Sixteen years. You talk shite and then get your asses beat on the field. You are as relevant as Notre Dame.

Talk to me when you have won one recently.

I got as close as I could. They need to loosen the rules around here. Those tits need to be seen.

Hate to admit it, but the hit was fine. It was just incredibly unlucky. He took Ndamukong Suh obliterating his body in the Big 12 championship game, then a weak arse hit --just in the right place-- took him out.

True story. That B12CCG was hard to watch. Colt got beat up...but kept getting up.

Texas allowed the Alabama Dynasty to start

A Miami team doctor's evaluation of Drew Brees was a more significant contributor to the current Saban era and what the football gods have wrought.

Not a defenseless runner getting hit in the shoulder...

Then why was the score 21-24 with 6 minutes to go? Could it be that your offense was so pathetic that it couldn't make use of that line of scrimmage advantage?

21 points was all you scored for the entire game. So Alabama didn't even need to score the entire 2nd half to win the game. Still, you lost by 16.

You know how I know you just went back and watched that one play then looked at the box score?

I haven't seen that play in quite awhile. It was the first NC for Alabama since 1992. I have watched that game many times in the past.

Same thing would have happened to Saban if he lost. Notice how he hasn't gone back to the dogshit offense you guys used to use now that he's got a taste of a real one?

You don't understand Saban at all. The only reason he changed offenses(and defenses) is because the game changed. Not because he lost a game.

If Colt hadn't gotten hurt, I don't think this dynasty gets off the ground. It was like the 2019 Iron Bowl. Surely Alabama beats Auburn with Tua, but Mac had to sub in with no prep and couldn't manage it. 2009 had much larger stakes, and got us to where we are today. This event altered the trajectory of the entire conference.
if colt doesn’t get hurt, maybe Texas wins or maybe they don’t. Regardless - Alabama would still be the dynasty it is today and Texas is probably still mediocre for the better part of the next decade.

Colt didn’t give up 100+ yards rushing to two different RBs and 4 rushing TDs.
lol yea because a guy that comes in and goes 3 and out constantly while turning over the ball helps your defense a ton. It definitely made a humongous difference in the game.

Texas could not run the ball. They had like 1 run early in the game right before Colt got hurt and that was it.

Newton had 39 yards on 14 carries, and 16 of them came on the play mentioned above. 9 of them on another, so figure out where the other 14 yards over 12 carries worked out. Texas originally tried to run more after Colt got hurt, and went 3 and out twice doing it.

Still? STILL? What do you mean STILL we lost by 16?

We ONLY lost by 16. If you guys were half decent you'd have beat us by 30. That's why I said anyone who rewatches it can tell how truly unimpressive Bama was.

True Freshman Garrett Gilbert in his first start vs the vaunted SEC speed. No way they can keep up! Oh wait they did until 6 mins to go. That's why I laugh when the clownshow says that the SEC is going to be too much for us to handle. It wasn't even too much for the worst starting QB we've ever had.

Well no. Saban was just flat out wrong back then, he just didn't know it yet. The game had already long changed by 2009 tbh. Y'all would have gotten motorboated by Colt, so I assume that means Saban would have taken some time to reflect on why he lost by 30...which would lead to the change in offense.

Did Colt get hurt, or did he take himself out of the game because them Bama boys hit too hard?

If you don't understand the concept of a team taking it easy after getting a big lead, then that's on you.

Texas was a spread offense, not an RPO offense. Alabama would have changed to that after losing to Florida in 2008 if that was true.

I'm just going to assume you are an alt and are purposely trying to look like a stupid Texas fan.
