That's weird. So they're planning to play in a lame duck conference with one foot out the door for 3 or 4 more years?

Publicly this is what they will say, but in all reality they will be waiting for the Big 12 to collapse or for the Big 12 to negotiate once they are ready to move on and expand without this dark cloud hanging over them.

Of course they were as much as all of you think there was a conspiracy to stiff aTm through the silent treatment. And I'll bet they will not even object. Bring it on. All your teams will have to deal with the two new tier 1 star teams. And some of your teams you will lose to them I'd guess.

Yeah, there's no way the SEC left A&M's leadership out of these talks like that Kirk Bohls guy said. That has to be pure BS. I'm also sure A&M's leadership fought it as much as they could, but have probably realized it was a no win situation for them, and have found solace in the fact that their revenue is about to jump up even further. I'll even bet that when the "official" vote tally is released, it'll be 14-0 for admit UT & OU (now the unofficial will be quite different).

I really hate the way A&M lost the narrative here from the start.

By coming out the gate and saying they want to be the only Texas school--- they have really turned what could have been a moment of triumph into a moment of weakness.

Now, thanks to their public statements, either:

A) They look weak as frick, getting overridden after the public statements.

B) They somehow sabotage this, looking like tantrum throwing toddlers.

Out of all the ways to approach this, it seems the Aggies took the most emotional and least rational approach.

aggy has been in the sec long enough for this not to surprise you.

What is hilarious is yall thinking you were out flanking the rest of college football by creating your own network to only become less relevant. Now you have to join the SEC in an attempt to be relevant again.

The only reason yall are coming to the SEC is yall can't stand us having a better program and out recruiting you on a yearly basis. Let that sink in.

Kyle, how are your teams going to pick up the pieces? You are getting left behind. Recruiting will become more difficult.

They have no idea who they’re dealing with.

The Big 8 was a powerful, successful conference by every measure. The Southwest conference was a dismal failure. Texas made sure we didn't even keep Big 8 historical records. They successfully manipulated the creation of conference bylaws to benefit themselves. Changing them required 9 members, but Texas made sure they had 4 Texas schools who could vote as a block to veto any proposed changes.

Texas uses rumors and disinformation, just like they're doing now to manipulate things in their favor.

When they put in their notice, other teams will be looking to leave. Once they have a couple more leaving they won’t have to pay anything and will join much sooner than 2025.

This. That exit fee was likely put in there by the big schools like Texas and OU to keep the smaller programs from bolting and causing the B12 to lose its perception as a power conference.

Without Texas and OU that perception is gone and the conference will dissolve and the remaining decent programs will bolt to the PAC12 and Big 10

I figured 4 super conferences were inevitable but I figured it would be the PAC12 that eventually dissolved because they aren’t competitive and the Big 12 would take USC, Az, Utah, ASU and B10 would get Oregon, Stanford, Washington, WSU and rest would go g5

Texas & OU are prepared to wait until their Grant of Rights expires in 2025 to join the SEC, instead of paying the $70 exit fee, sources say

I always knew the Big 12 sucked but to not be able to afford $70 really hammers it home.

Sinking ship means having more money than everyone AND being crowned the best athletic department at the same time???

Sorry pumpkin. I know y’all are terrified of us, but it looks like no one in your conference gives a shite about your feelings or PTSD from getting consistently crushed by us all of the time

When you suck at football, you proudly display your director's cup.

Since you have more money than anyone, why have yall sucked at football for over a decade?

I look forward to renewing the game. Times have changed and you can't apparently buy wins in football as yall have repeatedly shown us.

good question. It’s honestly been our worst decade ever. And in the meantime, it’s been Aggie’s single greatest decade ever and they have the same results

Well you just said we suck at football, so I guess it’s apparent that we haven’t bought wins. In fact, beating you head to head was why y’all ran away crying in the first place. But I never guessed 9 years later, after realizing y’all would have to play us again, that y’all would cry 10x harder

The entire country thinks y’all are a fricking joke right now. Which is something you should be used to.

You and I both know the conference change is about money and the money comes from football. You can brag about the sports that nobody watches but you are just deflecting from your lack of success at football.

Let's not pretend the Big 12 and the SEC are equivalent. If that were the case, you wouldn't be tucking your tail to join us in the SEC. Yall are joining the SEC in an attempt to catch back up.

Keep living in the past my friend. We are in a new era.

The joke is on you. Your strategy failed. Having your own network and having an easier path to the playoffs hasn't worked out well at all.

Yall got left behind and are scrambling for a new home. We are fine where we are and look forward to your continued tradition of irrelevance.
