So which is it?
I love the media.
Just Texas trying to play petty games. Good on the SEC for coming out and setting the record straight that the Presidents were all involved.

I still don't get why the AD would publicly lobby against Texas if he knows where the votes are.
I will stop posting about those comments after this, but it just seems like the wrong play after the news broke.

Once 4 schools split the GR deal is canceled.
Everyone wants to be in the 64-team mix.

Agree. Wrong move for sure.

Texas & OU are prepared to wait until their Grant of Rights expires in 2025 to join the SEC, instead of paying the $70 exit fee, sources say.
I imagine they will play one season (current) and will be joining the SEC next season. No one will be on board with the lame duck conference. Boosters will step up and assist with the exit fee.

I mean, I think y'all are going to beat their asses if they get in.
Let them grovel to get in, and then take them to the woodshed.

Not really but spin away.
At the end of the day, after all the shite the school in Austin talked back in the day about A&M and being superior to the SEC, they bent the knee and followed "little bro" (not anymore) to greener pastures. They are hypocrites and phonies of the highest order and no longer considered "big bro". That is the real truth in all of this.

As soon as this becomes official the Big 12 will collapse. I anticipate OU and Texas playing in the SEC in 2023.

That's weird. So they're planning to play in a lame duck conference with one foot out the door for 3 or 4 more years?
Once they leave the rest of the conference members will be looking for homes. At that point there could be 5-6 schools looking to terminate GoR and so the exit fees will be a lot less. That's the angle here.

Exactly. Couldn't hack it on the national stage in the conference they controlled. Had to follow in our footsteps begging for a leg up.

This is about Texas chasing the best landing spot. Not Texas chasing texas A&M (albeit the renewal of the annual game is an added benefit)
The tears in tRant this week have been endless

No tears here. I'm ready to see A&M tear you overrated fricks a new new a-hole every Thanksgiving. You ain't playing a schedule full of underfunded mid-majors in flyover country anymore. If I were you, I wouldn't make plans for bowl season.

Not sure what is wrong with A&M wanting to be only team from Texas in SEC. gators feel EXACTLY the same about Florida State. Was a hot topic here 4-5 years ago.
That may be the case now but we spent over 20 years trying to get FSU into the SEC. Not our fault they pussied out at the last minute.

So isn’t there suppose to be a vote by the schools to allow for Texas and OU? We’re now expecting that to pass? And if it doesn’t it seems like they’re joint anyways? This is a shite show
I suggest doing some research on the situation So far. Supposedly the vote has already happened and the two schools are going to announce their intentions to the big 12 monday

Once 4 teams leave b12 gor expire. That is what they are banking on.

Kirk Bohls just makes shite up (or rather just repeats whatever the last blowhard Texas donor he's talked to that doesnt know shite has told him). He just tweeted that the vote would be 13-1. Yesterday he tweeted that Missouri and A&M would vote no. He also tweeted that "he got a tip about this last Friday". yeah sure you did frickface, thats why you just sat on your scoop until the end of this week until somebody else wrote the story? He's just another bullshite artist sports hack working for a minor league newspaper.

Yeah I can't imagine TX and OU playing three more years in a lame duck conference.
