Supposedly, the new HC will be making more than 1.7M, and has an open checkbook to hire whoever he wants for assistants. Major upgrades coming to BBP as well
Guess I'm going to have to learn how to spell his name

A handful of SEC schools have tried to make this hire in the past. Congrats to Aggie.

Timing is key sometimes.

per Kendall Rogers:
"Don't expect Schloss to bring any of his staff with him to College Station...he and Bjork are swinging for the fences and money whipping an ELITE staff of assistants"

Saarloos is elite…
He’s been fantastic as an assistant.
But he’s wholly unproven as a HC.
He’ll likely be very successful once he makes the jump from pitching coach to skipper.
I’m just not sure it’s accurate to describe him as “elite” yet.
You can bet some programs will be after him.

I meant that in the context of the post I was replying to. I think he’s very much an “elite assistant”

quote:That was deserved. Multiple OM athletic programs were in hot water with the NCAA under his watch.
For all the shite Ole Miss fans talked when we hired Bjork
And it was abhorrible the way he handled the football investigation.

he’s been nothing short of fantastic since he got here.

Longtime coach Jim Schlossnagle is leaving TCU for Texas A&M. A&M formally announced the hiring on Wednesday morning.
TCU, though, made a strong push to keep Schlossnagle in Fort Worth. According to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, TCU offered Schlossnagle a five-year extension on top of his remaining two years on his deal that would have taken him through the 2028 season and made him one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.
In fact, the source said, Schlossnagle likely would have made more money staying at TCU rather than bolting to A&M when you factor in the revenue he generated from his camps. But Schlossnagle opted for the challenge of running an SEC program and restoring A&M’s baseball program to prominence.
“This was not about the money,” a TCU source said.
In a new release sent out by A&M on Wednesday morning, Schlossnagle said: “I am extremely excited to get things started in Aggieland, and I am humbled by this incredible opportunity. With the resources and facilities available at this world-class university, the foundation is here to win championships and make the 12th Man a regular visitor to Omaha.”
Added A&M athletic director Ross Bjork: “When we started our coaching search, we made sure we covered all of our bases within Texas and across the country by reaching far and wide to find the right fit for Texas A&M baseball. As our search progressed, it became abundantly clear that Jim Schlossnagle had the experience, recruiting prowess, player development background and baseball knowledge to deliver a championship-caliber program for Aggie baseball. He owns the best winning percentage of any college baseball program in Texas over the last 10 years and his track record of success on a national stage speaks for itself.
“Texas A&M deserves to have the very best of the best, and we have hit a proverbial ‘grand slam’ with Coach Schlossnagle.”

We'll you see. If you factor in the wins during the good years without the losses. Then carry the 1. Claim the TCU CWS runs. Use the final BA ranking in 89... and BOOM!. There ya go.

I think Arkansas might be able to lure Vitello away, or maybe LSU if they went all in, but as long as the Vols upgrade their facilities and show a commitment to the baseball program Vitello might have found his landing spot.
Arkansas loves their baseball far more than the Vols right now but he'd have to be the guy replacing The Guy. LSU is great but again you wouldn't be the first great coach at LSU. I think it will take, to use an LSU term, "a damn strong offer" to chisel Vitello out of Tennessee unless he gets sideways with the administration about their support for the program.

My God, they couldn't wait for Tony Vitello

He's the reason we got fricked by the NCAA. By literally giving them everything they wanted and allowing them to reopen a case that had been closed.
Such revisionist history.
Ole Miss stonewalled the NCAA, threatened to sue them, sued a bunch of people through a third party (that fat ole miss store owner, can't think of his name), lied until the end, and still got off relatively easy. Luckily for you all, it dragged out long enough that the initial waves of the NCAA losing all power were starting to lap up on the shore.
The only thing "ole miss" cooperated with was the media campaign to lie to the fans about how bad it really was. I'm sure they're glad to see it's still working when they read posts by you and your ilk.
