re: Former Vol Albert Haynesworth needs a kidney - DovaVol
He has 7 kids. Is he still married to Brittany Jackson?
I'm assuming no. He has a kid or two with her, but he put out some stuff on social media a year or so ago saying she used racial slurs and physical assault on him. She did join the party with some other former vols though in...

re: Tricks to beat the heat and keep playing during July and August? - DovaVol
It keeps the sun off your arms which will drain your energy, and also nothing is more stifling and suffocating than a sopping wet cotton polo flopping around and sticking to your body. Also it just feels annoying when you are trying to swing.
I don't think I've worn a cot...

re: Tricks to beat the heat and keep playing during July and August? - DovaVol
We should try to get in a practice round at Canton at least
Well I'm headed to the beach for a week, but any other weekend I'm up for it. Most of the guys last weekend were trying to get me to join up and play in the big 12:30 group out there. I'm hard to miss, just look for the ...

re: Tricks to beat the heat and keep playing during July and August? - DovaVol
I was a member until they restructured a few years ago. Lake Caroline re-opened and they gave the 3 membership deal so I joined the Watkins group. Canton is my favorite course, though. The 4-Ball will be worth it if you can get in
Gotcha, yeah I debated joining Caroline and a...
I'm at Caroline, but don't have 6 hours to play a round. I play Canton if I want to get in 18. You should get a pard and play the Canton 4 Ball next month. 3 days and good players with parties both nights
Are you a member at Canton? Signed up to join 3 weeks ago and played in t...

re: Which “House Divided” combination do you see the most of? - DovaVol
When I was younger I always thought about going into business making niche house divided plates. Thigns like Boston College/New Mexico State, stuff like that. I'm sure there's a market for it.
There is, 10 years ago I got my wife a house divided Georgia Southern/TN plate...

re: NSFW: Restoring Order - DovaVol
For those that haven't seen it yet, check out Brooks Koepka and his g/f at the ESPY red carpet last night. It's NSFW, and I ain't posting it here. When you google it you'll see why ...

re: Would you get an air hockey or foosball table? - DovaVol
I would get a shuffleboard table
This. The rest you need breaks in the action to drink while playing. Shuffleboard you can sling pucks with one hand and drink with the other all with a few bucks on the line each game. ...

re: Favorite club in the bag... - DovaVol
My answer would have been different a week ago. But, I put a TaylorMade M3 (HZRDUS Black stiff shaft) in my bag and the difference between that and my previous driver is night and day. Set the weights to high fade and I've finally all but eliminated the left side of the course. I've hit place...

Favorite club in the bag... - DovaVol
Opposite of the other thread...what's your favorite club to hit. Driver for me. Had a great run the past few years with the Titleist 910, and then the 915 drivers. Could work the ball L to R, or R to L at will and was long with both. Put the M5 in the bag this year and have never looked back. Ga...

re: Your least favorite club to hit? - DovaVol
56* It's a head thing. I will hit it well on the range and get out on the course and can never make good contact. Always feel like I scoop the ball and it never flies as far as it should. I'm almost to the point that I can pinch/trap a 60* and get it to fly as far as my 56* should. Dread seeing 1...

re: Iron shafts - DovaVol
So here's what I found out via the Edwin Watts lauch monitor... First, the loft and lies on my set of 708 AP's and my 714 AP2's were the same. I knew the shaft in the 714's(DG S400) was heavier by 10-15g. Got on the launch monitor with 7 irons from both sets, and a set of Mizuno JPX900(with S...

re: Tricks to beat the heat and keep playing during July and August? - DovaVol
I guess I'm a bit weird in that I'd prefer it hot and don't really care one way or the other if the tee time is early morning/late afternoon or middle of the day. Hell I run 3 miles a few times a week with a scuba vest on to get my body temp up and sweat more. The biggest thing for me is a towel, ma...
How long ago did you play the Project Xs? I too lost 10 yds per iron, but it's 'cause I got old
March. I actually said your exact quote to my brother in law, and his response was "not with how you hit your driver".
3 things: 1.) Check loft first. Perhaps the lofts ...

Iron shafts - DovaVol
Had a set of AP2's with Project X rifle 5.5 shafts in them. Just got a new set of AP2's and the guy I bought them from had put Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400's in them. The bit of reading/asking around that I did before I bought them led me to believe that the S400's would produce a lower ball flight....
I somehow lucked out and got practice round tickets 2/3 years. Looks like I’m back to the back of the line
It's luck of the draw man. I have been signing up for years and never won. Figured my dad had always done it too, and asked him 3 years ago and he told me he didn't know abo...

re: July 19 WYP/WYS - DovaVol
Club Championship was this past weekend at Country Club of Canton. Opened with a 73(par 72) with a bunch of missed opportunities. Flighted Sat night and I was 4th in the championship flight. Leader was at 67. Started yesterday in the penultimate group and watched the leader start +4 thru 3 so it was...
