I kind of feel sorry for those not in Texas. H-E-B is on another level.

Way off topic but any chance the SE gets a Scheels.

Conference's only hope now is if Arkansas goes all in on Walmart

Uh, we have.

Walmart is as much an e-commerce company now as it is a grocery store.

I do their online grocery delivery. Walmart has pretty much everything I need to season and complement the meat I order from my butcher. No complaints.

If I need something fancier I'll visit the Whole Foods or Ozark Co-Op each 5 minutes from my house in opposite diretions.

Never been in one before I take it? Is Kroger still trying to be Walmart with “Super” Krogers that sell clothes and lawn furniture?

At least we have only named stuff after the name Walton.

But I'm not ruling it out that we'll name something Walmart in the future, but probably not.

Even the baseball stadium is named after Old Walmart Money. Baum and Walker were Walmart people from early on.

It just wouldn't be right if Arkansas got any grocery store chain other than Piggly Wiggly. You know you want them.....

Lived in Texas for years. H-E-B doesn't hold a candle to Publix. Not even close.

Same here and I second that observation.

Nor does it hold a candle to Lowes (Carolina Grocery Store Chain).

Nor does it hold a candle to Fresh Market.

Nor is Food Lion number one in the Carolinas. Last I heard it was Bi-Lo, unless Food Lion bought-out Bi-Lo of the Carolinas or something.

There were also more IGAs per capita in SC than anywhere else, unless something has changed in the past few years.

We had them when I was a kid. Not sure if there are any more left. Maybe in deep SE Arkansas.

I had a Piggly Wiggly in my hometown sometime around me being 5-8 years old.

They had a chicken game thing you put a quarter in it, crank the knob, and the machine would light up, the hen would cackle and a plastic egg, with a "prize" would drop out the bottom. Seems like I always got puffy stickers. When collecting stickers was a thing.

Food City used to sponsor a NASCAR race. I'm not sure if they still do. Bristol, maybe?

Isn't Food City one of those small chains in low-income neighborhoods?

Very good chain that is almost Publix level. I prefer it to Publix since we have both in our town.

WTF is this? The only Kroger I know of is in Russellville. Walmart is and will always dominate Arkansas.

H-E-B is the GOAT grocery store. I'd put Wegman's at a close second.

Food City is p decent. It's about the same quality as Publix.

Where the frick is Publix? Especially in Florida?

In NW Fl., it's either Winn-Dixie, who just sold out to Aldi, or Publix

So many stadiums have stupid branded names now that I cannot even care.

You can't convince me that naming a stadium after a dog food company leads to a single extra sale of dog food. Just tacky shite.

I don't care even care what fans on here talk off the subject that doesn't interest me in any way.

Is that the area you are currently living in right now?

We have Safeway in Colorado, it’s a middle of the road grocery store.
