Don't worry about polls. We keep winning we move up. Have a big challenge at MSU Saturday.

Really? Okay. This makes me think you haven’t watched A&M recently. Granted, State is playing much better but from a non-biased perspective A&M has tons of talent and should win this game. Certainly not something I would ban bet on. But you do you.

Honestly I think it’s your teams past reputation and underperformance that is the reason for your ranking.
We talking about Tennessee or A&M here?? Tennessee has actually performed worse than A&M the past 15 years.

Neither of us are winning a natty so I'm not sure why it matters but yalls loss is worse than ours

We were tied with current #11 Notre Dame with 2 minutes left. Conner Weigman played the worst game of his life, but not sure it was a bad loss.
The rankings are incredibly subjective, but nothing we can do about it. Just win.

To a team that list to eastern Illinois. It's ok that you're not great just own it

The people who rank teams professionally seem to think Notre Dame is ok. They’re one spot away from the top ten.
And you can hate on “aggy” all you want — makes no difference to me or my life. But saying that we’re not great is dumb. This team has gotten significantly better each week, and is playing solid football.

You lost to Northern Illinois at home that’s why.

The AP and coaches polls are the best example I've ever seen of anchoring bias. Unless you lose, it's almost impossible to drop more than a spot or two no matter how awful you looked.
Way back in 2007 I watched A&M barely beat Fresno State at home due to a fluke unforced fumble (if Fresno hadn't fumbled, they would have won). We avoided a loss to a mid major only because of a 1 in a 1000 play, yet the polls came out the next day and A&M had climbed a few spots. That's still the general SOP: make your preseason rankings and then adjust them based on W/L and nothing else. Other than top 5 matchups, SOS is almost completely ignored.

Legit don’t care. Bama loses to Vandy barely beats USC the next week and is still top 10….
And has a win over a top 5 team.
You end up saying stupid things when don't want to take all the data into account.

Anyone who says “preseason polls don’t matter” is mistaken.
There’s simply no way a preseason unranked team like Army, Navy, or Pitt, for example, can break in.
I’m not stating anything revolutionary—it is what it is; but the denial by those who insist preseason polls are irrelevant is misguided.

Why are you worried about us???
Just win. We have Alabama next so we aren't thinking about the Aggies lmfao.

We did not bring our A game against you and a freshman QB on the road.
Tennessee would be a very bad matchup for Texas A&M BTW. Football is about matchups. We would grind them down in a low scoring affair. Arkansas is not a good matchup for us in comparison even though Aggies dismantled Arky.

We beat Tennessee by two scores easy. Our d line would feast

And they'll have some mojo after the UGA game. The good news is, our defense seems better than any team they've played, and certainly our front seven will be a monster for the freshie State QB to handle.
Some clear-eyed self awareness and humility rolling into Starkville could be useful in the deployment of the “don’t sleep on State” strategy. Just on the off chance you might face some OLs down the stretch more competent than Missouri’s.

Why do people care about these meaningless rankings so much?
Because teams want to be in the playoffs. I don't like it anymore than you do but the fact is it's going to be part of the criteria for getting in the playoffs at the end of the season so they do matter.
The only real solution here is to not rank teams until mid season when we've had time to see everyone play. Preseason rankings just need to go away
