Fox is miles better than the SEC networks coverage of OU/Houston.

Tennessee is getting too much love for beating NC State, but I don't see how anyone can look at OU's last 2 games and have any confidence in their offense. I don't think they slept walked through that Houston game, they were challenged by an inferior opponent. You don't see players throwing tantrums if they are "sleep walking".

Looking forward to this game. First conference game for OU and I expect a dogfight. A Vols win would be huge

Look for a defensive game. I haven’t seen Oklahoma yet but will be interested to see them versus Tulane.
As for Tennessee the depth is what is impressing me so much. All 3 TE’s are very good. 6-7 quality WR’s, DL depth is unheard of in today’s CFB. If you told me our 3rd string DL was on the field for a critical stop I have total confidence in them.
I think it’s gonna be a tough game to win but I will say the trouble Oklahoma had running the ball against Houston gives me confidence. If their O line is bad, our D Line has a chance to just take over the game.

This is just my honest opinion but I look at this similarly to Texas and Michigan. You've got two good defenses so it'll come down to the offense. Unless Oklahoma can work a miracle in the next two weeks I don't see how they can pull this out.
They should have Nic Anderson back at WR, but that won't be a complete difference maker. I'll be both praying and stabbing a shite-ton of Volunteer voodoo dolls between now and then too.

I agree with you. Our D may keep it close for a while but will tire out if the offense plays like it has been. 1st down-overthrown middle-deep ball, 2nd down-run Sawchuck/Barnes straight into the back of a completely upright offensive lineman. 3rd down-JA running for his life or throwing it short. Hopefully they're going to give Hawkins & Tatum more reps no matter how what. Hawkins has the ability to make teams pay for blitzing.

Billions of people follow soccer. College football is a blip on the radar globally

Fine, smart guy. I enjoy how 20% of the screen is taken up with WNBA trades on ABC.
Also, do you suppose there’s a large audience in Catalonia tuned into a UK/Alabama game which appreciates the ticker running along the bottom?

Good news for Tennessee is that one touchdown will probably win you the game.

Y’all are getting too much love for beating a Michigan team that replaced nearly everybody, and a Michigan team that struggled against Fresno State. See how that works?

For some reason I think this game will have at least 35 points total with both teams getting big pass plays off broken coverage. I have faith Bedenbaugh (?) will be able to seal up an OU offensive line enough for this game to be competitive.

Doubtful. His issue is with one person, I think he still loves OU.

How mad is he still at being fired by his former mentor, Bob Stoops?
Still pretty salty about it. He was asked at SEC media days if his feelings had changed, and he responded with a simple “no.”

It's never easy to win in Norman, we'll have to bring our a game and limit mental mistakes.
If I have one complaint about the NC state game, it's the number of dumb penalties that we shouldn't have committed.

Moving up 1 slot in the rankings is “too much love”?
The Michigan defense (the best defense in 2023) returned nearly everyone lol. It was in Ann Arbor, not a neutral site like Tenn/NC State. Michigan held a 9 to 10 win Fresno State team to 9 rushing yards on 22 carries. Your “Heisman” qb threw 2 picks to a below average defense… yes moving up 7 spots is “getting too much love”.
