I wonder if making candidates’ personal lives the focus is a good move for Paxton….

He’s a lot better on Twitter than he is a lawyer imo. He’s really good at finding good local counsel though

That impacts the SEC as well indirectly.

He's telling the league to respect the courts, as he should.

Since there’s nothing the NCAA can do about the Texas Tech/Ole Miss situation this year, can they let it play out in the courts after the year is over. Then, when it’s found that they played ineligible players, hammer them with the death penalty.

We need to elect Talarico (a real, meat eating Texan) who is totally not gay.
Take a wild guess as to where he/him/his went to college...

Does he realize how many Texas teams/univs. beside Tech make up the Big 12?
This could be the biggest Texas Hold'em game in history!

He'll spend more time knighting for TT and one of his donors than he did trying to put a guy who raped an 8 year old in jail. Dudes a POS.

I haven't had time to do a deep dive on potential actions the Big 12 can take and/or legal action the Texas AG can bring, but the Big 12 Bylaws do include this section:
THE BIG 12 CONFERENCE, INC. BYLAWS
quote:
Sanction of a Member. The Conference may sanction...a Member....if, after the Member’s opportunity to be heard, a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors determines that such Member has:
(i) violated any provision of these Bylaws or the Rules and other regulations established from time to time by the Board of Directors that govern the Conference or the Grant of Rights Agreement;
(ii) engaged in any action or a course of conduct materially adverse to the best interests of the Conference taken as a whole;
(iii) taken or omitted to take any other action that could be the basis for Withdrawal as described above if a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors does not elect to deem the action to constitute a deemed Withdrawal at that time; or
(iv) otherwise taken any action or omitted to take an action that a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors determines merits Sanctions.
In accordance with the preceding sentence, a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors shall, in its sole discretion, be empowered to determine whether any Sanctions are appropriate, the type, extent, and conditions to any Sanctions imposed, and impose such Sanctions on a Member depending, in each case, on factors that a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors deems to be relevant, including but not limited to the severity of the harm to the Conference taken as a whole resulting from the action or inaction set forth in the preceding sentence.
Without limiting the foregoing and merely as an illustration of the types of Sanctions that could be considered by a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors are prohibitions on appearance in postseason events or televised events, restrictions on revenue distributions, and limitations on recruiting or scholarships.

Sucks that my only choices for Senate are a lib-tard or a scumbag.
But I guess that's 90% of all elections these days.

What I'm about to type isn't just a Twxas guy typing stuff, BUT.....
I guarantee we wouldn't be seeing this shite if Texas was still in the Big12. University of Texas alumni have great power and influence in Texas politics and had so when in the 12. Big12 is now running around of their leash with a for rent guy as the commissioner. Last year that Texas was in Big12 Tech and Yormark were trying hard to screw Texas over the split. Big12 teams need to replace Yormark.
