Weird melt. Republicans have controlled the legislative branch of Texas government for 3 decades straight, most of the last 2 decades with a damn near 2/3 super majority. You see, these are who write the laws, not the minority party. Hope this clears up your confusion.

When your wife tells you she's pregnant with your child, it's a human being and your child. That is if you're a man anyway. No further discussion necessary.

Well there are not many serial killers or mass killers who are women to be fair. It is usually white men like me....but not on their psych meds I guess.

The reason is because according to Torah, a male child has to be at least one month old before it can be redeemed.

You are correct, for the most part, based on current state law in Tennessee - it is not a punishable murder/homicide for a woman to request or self-perform an abortion. But it is a punishable crime by up to 15 years for healthcare providers who perform an abortion in the state (assuming there are no critical injury or life threatening conditions sourcing from the pregnancy that threaten the mother).
A woman who self performs an abortion apparently does not get charged in Tennessee (by law). But if someone plans and kills a pregnant woman they are charged with double homicide. That is the letter of the state law today.
Note these things do vary state by state. Obviously this a heavy topic, but it's currently up to the states and state representatives elected to administer legislation on these and all types of laws. You've let it be known you feel strongly one way, and I'm sure there are people that feel another way about it. Regardless it's about who gets elected and what laws get passed that determines the specifics of crime and punishments.

Odd it is considered murder if someone else kills an unborn child otger then the mother under the eyes of the law yet in America over 1.3 abortions were committed.
