But but Florida has the most talent in the division behind Georgia.

We had a few shots though. Just couldn't capitalize on them. Then after 07 he had poor roster management.

Oh cool...the old 3/15 record argument.
How about 2-0? GTs record in Sanford the last 2 times they've played there.
Or 0-1? Kirbys record against GT.
Or 0-2? Kirbys record against GT and Vandy...at home.
I could go on with lame arse meaningless stats.
My stats I gave were about UGA. Yous had the worst offense in decades with elite talent on offense there. 2 players on preseason SEC team. Dont give me that bullshite OL Richt left the cupboard bare crap. That same line was good enough for Richt in 2015 to get 10 wins and produce a decent offense. The line didnt do well last year because Kirby, Chaney and Pittman changed the scheme against their strengths. Thats not what good coaching does.

Don'cha wish we paid as much attention to Tech as you do UGA. We really just don't give two shites about the north ave. trade school. Sorry!

That line led the nation in TFL allowed in 2015, and then lost their best player (Theus).
Nevermind that, though. Should Kirby and co. have delayed building their program their way? Does going 8-4 instead of 7-5 last year and then having to start over again help UGA win the national championship? That's the goal, after all.

31 of 54 4 and 5 star players are 1st or 2nd year guys. 19 of them have never played a down.

I'd be interested to see how it broke down by class. A 4 or 5 star freshman is not nearly the same as a Senior but it's equal with this system.

Just look at the the rankings for the respective classes. It gives you a good idea at least

But then with transfers and the like, it really doesn't give you the whole picture.
Not to mention UGA's lack of depth in recent years in the most important positions, OL and DL

fricking Richt didn't leave Kirby any talent
2013 class was barren. The only senior talent last season was Maurice Smith (Bama transfer that followed Kirby). You saw the 5 loss results at the end of the season.
This year, we have stacked junior and senior class talent. We are young on the OL. But every team has something that is a question. No excuses this year.

How did you forget UGA only scored 13 vs a 3 win Tech?

idk why people are condemning a first year HC to mediocrity after an 8-5 season, the same as auburn's btw and people are kissing their arse. Just let them see the progress on the field. If we go 10-2 and they still talk shite then they're just trolls.

I get it that 5 stars are the cream of the crop.
However, honestly is there really that much difference between a 4 star and 3 star player?
I just do not see it and that is why MState has performed pretty well since Mullen has been here. His recruiting is underrated. Some of his 3 star players probably should have been 4 stars.
Also recruiting is still very subjective so ranking players from different states and different sized high schools is still a very inexact science.

Mac's 1st 3 classes really fricked us both in talent and legal woes.

It is a sliding scale. A high 4 star is close to a 5 star. A low 4 star is close to a 3 star.
1 out of 5 high 4/5 stars may be athletic busts.
3 out of 5 high 3/low 4 stars may be athletic busts.
There are never any guarantees that a kid can continue to develop after HS. There aren't guarantees about their knees, concussions, and academic eligibility either.
But the numbers (percentages) support the generalizations for the rankings.

It is really remarkable. It's been that way for decades too...
