Talent Ranked in the SEC by Team, per 247

FIFY

Not per 247, per the composite which is all 4 recruiting services combined

It's actually at like 77 by my count, but 247 hasn't finished updating that specific list. A lot of teams are missing players off that list that appear when you actually go into their roster.

They just added updated this list yesterday for the first time this season. So it is likely it'll keep being updated as they add players to it.

How many of those UGA 4 and 5*s are in their 2 deep?

Out of the 5 stars it looks like only D'Andre Swift, RB, isn't in their two deep because Michel and Chubb are ahead of him.

4 stars? I have no idea.

Considering they have 54 total I would imagine their 2 deep is filled with 4 and 5 stars

UGA has about 8-10 3 stars or less in the 2 deep. 4 or 5 of them will start, including at least 3 in the secondary.

Wasnt last years UGA offense the worst since preRicht days....actually worst in terms of yards since 1992 or something? And you guys didnt even play defenses like Bama or LSU. Ill give you Auburn but really UGA played pedestrian defenses and had their worst offensive production in decades and thats with 5* QB (slack since frosh) 2 5* RBs, 1 5* WR and 2 preseason SEC Olinemen.

Need more evidence?

Our OL sucked and we had a true freshman QB who couldn't take pressure off of them, along with a 1st year staff.

Thanks, I was wondering how many of Kirby's freshman and sophomores would be contributing.

LOL. It takes Georgia, Auburn and LSU to add all their 5 stars together to equal the Tides 5 stars.

6 5*s and 26 4*s out of that group were recruited by Kirby. That's more than half the 4*s that richt recruited, and most haven't even seen the field yet.

So yes richt didn't leave Kirby with nearly as much talent as Kirby has now. Those numbers will be a lot higher for UGA in a year one or two.

The majority of this UGA talent is the 2016 and 2017 classes. Richt brought talent to the skill positions but love to recruit undersized 3 star offensive linemen.

You'll see this season and next how most of the 5 star talent from the past two classes produces or not.

Yep. UGA being #2 is fully on the shoulders of Kirby. With richt we would have been 5 and maybe 4. People will shove their head up their arse though and act like richt is a legend and Kirby is riding off richt's recruiting.

You are only as strong as your weakest link. I would rather have 3 star running backs playing behind a 5 star OL than what we had last season.

No use using logic with a flying insect. I guess every time they have a first-year HC and staff they're lights out and they fill that high school stadium.

Tech wins 3/15 in the series and all of a sudden their fans are CFB gurus.
