I don't think any Bama fan would disagree with this. Pruitt was probably our best DC since Bill Oliver. But he has a show cause for another 5 yrs if I'm not mistaken. Basically he is unhireable.

He didn’t create it, it’s everywhere. What Saban did best was channel and

focus that aggression. Nobody else is that good at it, and DeBoer is learning what works and what doesn’t with this team. He just got a good lesson, let’s see if he learns from it.

I hope your correct because if not, going to be a long 2nd half of season

I had a coach who would run you till you puked. It was less effective than you think. Individual meetings with the unit groups on who failed and why works better.

I may have due to frustration over exaggerated a bit but we will see these next few games what he’s made of.

DeBoer has no history of putting good defenses or good running games on the field at the Division I level.

Technically they get paid even if they don’t play. You just have to make social media posts or appear at events.

NIL has become kind of a joke

I’ll absolutely concede the D, but Washington had a very good and innovative run game just last year.

3. Players by and large looked uninspired. Very docile. Why?

Because they beat Georgia and were told how good they were. They took this week off because there was no way they could lose to Vanderbilt.

quote:

4. No run game. Why? Bama has two really good running backs. If defense can’t stop Vandy then offense should grind on ground and run clock. Why did DeBoer not do this for this game and 2nd half Georgia?

Because they were in a quick 13-0 hole right out of the gate. They were playing from behind the entire game. When you are losing you don’t want to shorten the game. And we tried it against Georgia and they stuffed it. Both go back to focus and execution. Against Georgia they thought the game was over and they tried to coast. Against Vandy they came in trying to coast.

quote:

5. I’m all For players making money. However, for 60 minutes must be understood by players that I as your coach am God. No self aggrandizement. “ Kill Everyone” on bridge of nose is punk shite. DeBoer has created individual little pricks instead of one cohesive team. Saban never would have tolerated this.

Saban retired because of it. Last year’s players were selfish pricks too. You can not discipline or motivate players like in the past. They are paid whether they sit on the bench or not. And if they are unhappy, they will just transfer somewhere else next season. Saban knew it, so he rode off into the sunset.

7. Kane Womack needs to go back to South Alabama. Hire Jeremy Pruitt tomorrow.

Jeremy Pruitt’s show cause doesn’t expire until 2029. If Alabama hires him as defensive coordinator, they will not have a defensive coordinator for one year.

quote:

The show-cause penalty means that if an NCAA member school chooses to hire Pruitt in an athletic-related position prior to July 13, 2029, he would be suspended from all team activities for the entirety of his first season on the job.

quote:

8. Bama will lose 2-3 more games unless DeBoer takes the gloves off. I would work them like dogs this week until they puke.

See above. Many of them are rich and will just leave. The old “make them run till they puke” method doesn’t work anymore.

In the last 6+ quarters, Alabama has been outscored 74-48. Let that sink in. That is 12 points per quarter. Where have the defensive players gone?
Vandy’s play calling and execution was masterful. It was like 70 small knife cuts. And then at the end they severed an artery on that last drive. It was not a fluke. They beat Bama at the LOS.

Debeor has a very undisciplined team. He had guys in Vick jerseys last week which Saban would not have allowed and the is week you have Malachi Moore being a complete retard in the loss

So what does DeBoer do this week? He has a big problem on his hands. Disgruntled fans like myself, which means nothing really to him other than the big money donors who are fans as well.
1. Does he continue petting and praising and talking softly too them or does he get in their faces and work their butts off?
2. Does DeBoer take his coaching staff behind the woodshed? If so what good would that do? If you don’t know something, how can you correct the problem? You can’t imho run this week the same as past weeks.

DeBoer will set the tone for the rest of his tenure at Bama this week by his actions. We will see. I hope he figures it out
