He had the best season ever statistically.
But Cam carried an inferior Auburn team to 2019 LSU to the title with his arms and legs, against a brutal schedule.
Wuerffel carries UF to 4 straight SEC titles and 2 National Championship appearances.
Best season does not equal to best ever.
Edit: Keep in mind UF with Wuerffel had to deal with a top 5 FSU team every year and a top 5-10 Tennessee team in those years.

Besides homerism, can anybody give me a rational explanation for picking Bart Starr over Tommy Hodson? How do you take a guy who was never even a third team All conference selection and had a spotty career at best over a guy who was FIRST team all conference FOUR years in a row and set all the conference passing records? Honest question, what am I missing? Just NFL career only?
