Officials from both schools will meet with ESPN on Sunday to discuss moving the game away from Houston’s NRG Stadium. Two potential relocation sites are LSU’s Tiger Stadium or New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome. A source told SB Nation both schools are committed to playing the game Saturday in a different city. BYU does not allow its athletic teams to play on Sundays, per university policy in accordance with the Church of Latter Day Saints.

This should go over without any issues then. Game will be moved, and played. Good to hear.

A different spot in Texas? ALL emergency management and first responders in the state of Texas will focus their attention and resources on the area of the state that is in devastation. Sorry, but playing host to two college teams from out of state will not even be considered when the lives of state residents are more important.

God Bless Texas!

The only potential issue here is that some of the computer models have Harvey moving into Louisiana later this week. Could be major weather issues for a game.

Why?

It is just football. Just cancel it. There are way more important things like the several lives lost this morning due to flooding.

Playing the game won't hurt anything.

LSU would have had major home field advantage anyway. Open up a few extra seats for BYU fans and play it at Tiger Stadium.

There I solved a problem, you're welcome.

Play it in Provo like we did. They'll make sure the game starts at 10PM CDT and finish at 1am CDT. But then they were not stupid doing that, home field advantage in an easier time zone for them.

I've gotta fly through Houston on the way Dallas next Friday. Think the airport will be opened back up by then? Storm seems to just be lingering there til Friday, but it'll be a tropical depression by then.

Actually LSU won that game, 45-24. Or do you mean when LSU moved the game to Arizona due to a major hurricane? Nope, LSU won that one too, 35-31.
