That's very funny coming from you. Alleva embarrassed your entire school. You should be mad with him for making you laughing stocks. He's about to make another dumb arse decision by moving the game in another place about to be impacted by the storm. Do y'all just breed stupid?

Melt? We kicked your arse, planted our flag and took your women in your own house after your AD and bitch arse fans tried to make it like the entire university was afraid.

Now, we're just pointing out the hypocrisy of your AD and his total incompetence that is a laughing stock to all of college athletics.

This is the biggest issue with the idea of revisionist history. As this was coming on, our AD was repeatedly saying that alternate plans needed to be looked at for almost a week. Your AD kept saying "no, we got this" time and again until, finally, with not enough time left to make alternate plans, your AD said "holy shite, we can't make this happen". Well, of course not, when you fiddle-fart for so long, you can't find something new and ultimately, they had to cancel. Then your AD went on his tirade (temper tantrum) in order to capitalize on a disaster for his own media agenda and push blame off on the other guy. If they had listened to Alleva from the start, none of this media shite-storm would have happened. So, the incompetence was entirely on your AD even though he managed to sway public opinion by taking advantage of a disaster.

It's unfortunate that this thread, which could have been a legitimate discussion regarding the hurricane and the logistics of the football games affected by it, had to be anchored because of a cringe worthy melt by a Florida fan.

good lord, the melt continues from this one. It's unfortunate how a select few can really tarnish a fanbase's reputation on here. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and choose to believe 98% of the rest of the Florida fans are embarrassed by your prolonged melt in this thread.

The melt continues from both sides. Maybe you should look at some of your own fans too.

I can't be expected to police everyone

I'm aware there are also idiot LSU posters ITT, as there are in every shitfest of a thread involving LSU and Florida over the last year.

Foley is one of the best, if not the best AD on the planet. Forgive me if I trust his judgment over Alleva or random LSU fans. Foley can't predict the weather anymore than Alleva. Plus, maybe Foley already knew that playing a meaningless football game anywhere could possibly be in poor taste IF thousands of Gator fans were affected by what was at the time a Cat 5 hurricane that ripped up the Caribbean. Imagine if that storm was 50 miles more East. There would have been catastrophe in Florida. How do you tell people to enjoy a game while their families are recovering. I don't think it was a good week for UF to play that game just like UCF didn't play. It is in poor taste IMO.

This is an easy decision for me. I don't think it is a good idea to play here in Houston this week. There's too many people hurting here and people are more concerned with getting their lives in order. Why play a meaningless game so soon in a city that is devastated? This game has to be postponed or moved. Houston is not in any shape to be hosting football.

I would agree with this except that Foley was saying up to Thursday that everything was ok and the game would be played in UF stadium as scheduled and most Gator fans backed up that sentiment, even when it was a Cat 5 hurricane in the Caribbean. Again, you are trying to revise history to make Foley look better but that narrative is just not accurate.

If I had a say, this would be as easy of a decision for me, also. And that is likely the way that the discussions are going right now. But that is wisdom of making decisions early, when alternate arrangements can be made, because although this may be a "meaningless game" for us as fans but the game is still for the kids.

Well if you think about it, Foley was right. A game could have been played on Saturday weather wise. What he may not have anticipated was that police, fire, emergency personnel would not be available which may have led to cancelling. I was not there. I don't know what was said, when it was said BUT the game was not played that day. BIG frickING DEAL. shite happens. Why can't some of you be reasonable? A meaningless game wasn't played that day. Who gives a shite but some of you? Better safe then sorry. Why should we play a game that day ANYWHERE on the planet when a hurricane was barreling down the fan base??? You don't see how callous that looks? You're playing a fricking football game while people's lives and property is being destroyed. UCF cancelled their game against Tulane and you didn't see any of their fans screaming foul. Tulane fans were at least reasonable. Some people here lost their damn minds because a game wasn't played. It was a fricking hurricane.

I find that difficult to believe because even most LSU fans were stating this Monday and Tuesday of that week.

That is why you should stop defending his actions. If you don't know what you are talking about, it is best not to talk at all.

^ There is nothing to defend because it was not a big deal. It was a fricking football game. The game was not played that day. Whoopdie fricking doo. You're trying to blame Foley for a fricking act of God. Foley should have done this, he could have done that??? Stop your nonsense. Why not blame Mother fricking Nature? Weather events affect everyone, not just you callous people. Your fanbase acted an arse because a meaningless football game wasn't played that day. Your AD tried to take advantage of a weather event to get an extra home game. Foley ain't no dummy like your coon arse AD. Don't be mad because your AD is a dumb frick. I am going to LMAO when he fricks up this week as well. Watch.
