When Leach was in Pullman, he walked from his
house, 3-and-half-miles to work each day.
He needs a route without too many Taco Bells, KFC's,
car dealerships, or clanging cow bells
along the way---just nice open country.

I’m really wondering how well Mike Leach will do in the living rooms of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Arkansas moms, dads, and grandparents? Will his quirkinesses translate down here? He needs to have a staff of some hard hitter recruiters imho.

He needs some good fishing spots to practice his fishing techniques for the keys, a good fly guy, and someone teach him to hunt

In all seriousness, he's does a lot with very little. He finds those "lost" kids, like the WSU quarterback last year was playing ball at some city college near San Francisco. I mean, who finds kids like that? He's good at what he does, which is non-traditional. It may work; it may not. I like him in the conference regardless.

Very well said 85 I agree with all that. He does find a crap ton of “diamonds in the rough”,

Leach is a brand. The Pirate sells itself. He’ll get good offensive talent.

I used to listen to his radio show on XM Radio with Jack Arute. They were on the air for a year or two when Leach was between the TX Tech & WSU job. It's not like Leach can't stay on topic or carry on a regular conversation. He should be fine with in home visits.

I hope I didn’t give the impression I question his intelligence because I know he’s very smart. Passed law school and he’s very well read. I was thinking relatability maybe.

How about a somewhat thick girl with brown hair and rubber boots that doesn’t wear much make up and grew up on a cattle farm?

We have plenty of those

You can tell he’s not used to talking to attractive women.

Pullman looks aight.

Fayetteville has paths like that all over, but there's no way you'd be alone or not have bikes zipping by the whole time.

He don’t need any of that, the man has a sword. He’s a pirate for crying out loud. He probably spear fishes with his sword.

He needs to do this because it has to be damn hard to entice a super star recruit that didn’t grow up in Mississippi pulling for State to want to play in backwater Starkville.
Starkville has to be the least appealing college town in the SEC.
