Three different emojis. Now I understand how you work. When you can not present anything of value to a conversation, place an emoji after every sentence to make the shite look better. I bet you carried a money cliff with a lot of one dollar bills when you were dating.

Prior to this years draft Saban had 29 first rounders at Alabama. 24 of them are still in the NFL. That is pretty damn incredible.

Right, but so can Gus Malzhan.

Gus consistently brings in top 10 talent, he should have his team consistently finish in the top 10 with that talent. AND he should be able to put at least a few of those players into the 1-2nd round of the draft on a regular basis.

BUT he's just not winning enough and he still has a deficiency in the player development and roster management areas while he pulls a top 10 salary.

I have said for the last few years that it is the most impressive thing about Saban. His teams are always in contention because they never have that head scratcher loss that even coaches like Urban and Pete Carroll almost always seem to have

Don't you get it, that had everything to do with the talent and not he coaching....... /s

I know it isn't always easy so respect to the Auburn fans who don't let their bias cloud their judgment of Saban.

That is why the recruiting rankings are misleading. Gus has recruited well at times, but has lacked at certain positions. On Offense it has be QB and OL and lately RB. The OL development has been a big issue at times. On Defense the issue has been LBs. Those have bitten him on the butt. With Saban he has signed 10 LBs in a class at times that are all highly ranked. He will put some weight on them and moved them to other position. Gus pulls in a top 10 salary because of the timing of his success. AU was actually smart to lock in that contract at the time, because otherwise they would end up with hiring a fruit of the month type coach in January. Gus has at least proven he can get them there.

If he had to play by the same rules as everyone else I wouldn't care how long he stayed at Bama.

Terry Bowden appears to still have a ledger of payments to Auburn players, 4 former Auburn players tell HBO they were paid, and Cam's dad says he fell on the sword during that investigation. So are you seriously saying that Auburn plays according to the rules while Bama doesn't?

quote:

Tuberville regularly beat him when he had to follow the rules and the refs didn't flag everything in his team's favor.

He beat Tuberville 36-0 in '08 with only one full recruiting class and those guys were true freshmen; most of that team was Shula's recruits. And no penalty discrepancy was gonna make up a 36 point deficit...

He never out coaches anyone.

Never? That's BS. He made the call for the onside kick that changed the game against Clemson in their first CFP championship game...he made the call to go to Tua in the CFP championship game against UGA. Both of those in-game coaching decisions took the other coach by surprise and won the game for Bama...

1) Have you checked your emoji count lately?
2) the frick is a "money cliff"?
3) Back when I was dating, I didn't carry "a lot" of any type of bill...I didn't have'em.

I get tired of these types of comparisons, Alabama has done better and we don't have to bring it up

And the series record is 5-8 during that period. How many 1st rounders for Bama in that period compared to AUs 5? Again , how does that happen?
