South Carolina hasn't had road games against "middle" teams.

What about ASU are they medicore?

Oh he already gave us hypothetical losses for all these middle road teams for...some reason?

well we had one.
And, yeah, if South Carolina beats Mississippi State in Starkville on Saturday then that'll completely shut everyone up about Carolina not being actually one of the best teams in the conference

I would agree with that statement even if we were to blow out MSU on Saturday.

So then why get insulted when I try to answer a question as to why South Carolina is so high in the standings currently?

Insulted?
I questioned your “Florida has had an easier draw so far” response and argued your logic with MSU.
That’s what I do. I argue things.

I wasn't saying we were a good team either.
We are medicore and got beat by better teams in OOC.
And we are running through the SEC because... it's not that great as people said it was.

you should take a look at this NET report for each team
https://extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/Stats%20Library/NET%20Nitty%20Gritty%20-%20Games%20through%20Feb.%2019,%202019.pdf
UF (33 NET) overall SOS - 43, UF NonConf SOS - 149
SC (82 NET) overall SOS - 21, SC NonConf SOS - 102
UF is 6-10 vs Q1/Q2, SC is 7-10 vs Q1/Q2.
UF is 8-1 vs Q3/Q4, SC is 6-2 vs Q3/Q4.
also, everyone wants to point to USC's Q4 loss on the season while ignoring that #27 NET Cincinnati has 1 Q4 loss and #32 NET Baylor has 2 Q4 losses. USC has better numbers than both of those schools with regards to SOS and Avg Opp NET/Rank.

Team with lots of new faces and early injuries improves as the season progresses. It isn't that hard to figure out.
This ^^^^^
And why some are having such a hard time comprehending the simple mechanics of how this works is a head scratcher.
SC has some dynamic freshmen that needed game experience after losing a couple of key players to injury early (for the season) and having a couple of others hurt who finally returned.
If we make the tourney after the slow start it will be a miracle of sorts.
Next year though, with what we have returning, we should be pretty good even sans Silva who btw, has turned into a PotY candidate down the stretch.

It is because we are South Carolina. South Carolina isn't supposed to be good at anything, so whenever South Carolina wins a couple games people just don't understand.
This is true, which is baffling at times ... trying to understand that perception because in fact, overall as an athletic program, we win as much or more than half of the rest of the conference in all sports and have had more accomplished seasons, overall this millennium, (especially this decade),than half of the other programs in the league.
And we’re trending upwards by every metric both on the field/court of play and in facilities, academics and fan support/booster donations.

The improvement in this team is stunning. I predicted us to go 3-15 in conference play. I'm amazed at how much better we look now. Reminds me of that 1997 Fogler team that lost to SC State and UNC Asheville but then won the SEC and beat national runner up UK twice.

they got a pretty easy draw (unbalanced schedule)
Our SOS is one of the hardest in the nation...
Also how the frick are there ppl like you saying we have an easy draw, but also people saying we are a top 3 conference.
When you are cleaning your ears, you're supposed to stop when you feel resistance.
