this is lazy. you eliminate the good teams from the conversation.

Auburn is a good basketball team. Mississippi State is a good basketball team. Ole Miss is a good basketball team. Florida is a good basketball team.

Alabama can be a good basketball team.

South Carolina has a great coach.

they got a pretty easy draw (unbalanced schedule) and have been handling business against the middle of the conference at home and against the bottom of the conference on the road and at home, to their credit we blew a solid lead against them in that stretch where we couldn't hold a lead to save our lives

Not sure how we've gotten an easy draw. We've played Tennessee twice, Kentucky, and LSU. Florida has had an easier draw then we have.

Florida plays Tennessee, Kentucky, and LSU twice and has already played Auburn, State, and Bama on the road. Come on

So which is it? Are we beating good teams as an improved team from OOC play or are we beating bad teams as a bad team?

It can’t be both.

Go figure, LSU is good at basketball, I say they are top 3, but say the conference isn't as good as it's made to be and LSU fan still gets mad.

We’ve played LSU, Kentucky, Tennessee all on the road. We play Miss St on the road Saturday as well

It is because we are South Carolina. South Carolina isn't supposed to be good at anything, so whenever South Carolina wins a couple games people just don't understand.

I think the key words you’re missing in that post are “has had”

I mean everyone plays everyone at least once, so you could defend any schedule like this

I'll ask you this: if South Carolina's conference schedule is "tough" comparatively speaking, what is South Carolina's best win so far in-conference?

@ Florida, home vs Auburn, or home vs Mississippi State. The only abnormal one there is @ Florida

you're beating good teams as an improved team because of elite coaching.

Beyond this, I have a hard time considering any team ranked #90 something in NET a "good" team. At the same time, y'all could win out and make things interesting with a bye in the SEC tournament.

Any team that loses at home to Arkansas I consider worrying.

See, I can do it too.

South Carolina's, currently #4 in the conference, best wins in the SEC at this point in order:

-#5 team in the SEC
-#6 team in the SEC
-#7 team in the SEC
-#8 team in the SEC
-#10 team in the SEC
-#11 team in the SEC
-#12 team in the SEC
-#13 team in the SEC
-#14 team in the SEC

So if a team loses to someone like Troy in football and then wins a bunch of games for the rest of the year except against the top team(s), would you not consider that improved team good?
