Don’t sleep on the series coming up in Columbia this weekend. Should be a good one. Wouldn’t surprise me if USC gets hot at the right time and steals a series. Also as a gamecock fan it wouldn’t surprise me if we get swept lol

I'd say we win 1 of 3 at most

Ray Tanner needs to get off his arse and let more ppl in. We can have 50% capacity by state mandate. If they can increase the attendance for the spring game by double, why can't they increase the attendance to the baseball games? It's the same exact weekend.

Your team was 2 outs away from losing a series to one of the worst LSU baseball teams in a long time. South Carolina isn’t winning a series against Arkansas.

Just tell him the more people he lets in the more people he can throw out. That seems to be his priority this year.

Looking forward to it. It's quite hard to find a reason to sail on USC. Y'all are some good folk IMO.

Hogs have been great on the road. I expect them to win two if not more.

You’re likely right, but don’t forget this is baseball. Georgia of all teams took 2 of 3 from Vandy.

I agree. Arkansas is the only team left in the conference to not lose a series, but no team gets through a season without dropping one. Including all championship teams.

South Carolina is a ranked opponent on the road. It seems like that's all we fricking play. We look extremely mortal from time to time, and we're going to be playing the odds enough to come up short some time.

I think Arkansas is decisively the better team. This could seriously be our year if things don't just fall smooth apart. That doesn't always matter. I always hope to just avoid the sweep playing these ranked road series.

Should be a good series. Historically speaking, Arkansas seems to have SC's number. Though, the last trip out to SC in 2016 resulted in Arkansas getting swept. In the last 6 series between the two in Columbia, Arkansas has won 4/6 series.

It was encouraging this week that Arkansas starting pitching didn't give up an earned run in games 1 & 2. Wicklander and Pallette went a combined 10.2 innings with 14 Ks, 0 ERs, 2 BBs, and 5 hits. Expect to see Noland back from injury possibly this weekend as well. Vermillion likely won't be back until the following weekend at LSU(I think).

Arkansas is tough. I'm hoping we at least get one game. I wish we were allowed a full stadium for this one. We do tend to play better against Arkansas at home (17-14) vs. on the road (14-22) so hopefully we play well this weekend.

Our lineup has been exceptional at getting on base. I think somebody posted this weekend that we lead the nation in homers and walks. Great combination for us.

Our pitching stats are a little skewed because we have played several series against some good offensive teams and we are not an elite staff.

Every road trip this season has been against ranked opponents and all of our SEC road trips have been against top 10 opponents.

Looking forward to another big series.

You'd think some of the more confident Gamecock fans were saying the same thing on the eve of the Florida series, too. Then it played out.

Unfortunately, this is what gets you beat in Omaha.

Need the stars to align to get back to the 'ship

Per DVH, both Vermillion and Noland will be available for this weekends series. This will be the first weekend Arkansas has had a healthy pitching staff since March 5th.
