With Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss and Arkansas all looking for new coaches, there just aren't enough good ones to go around. Someone got left out. We'll see who doesn't pan out.

More than one.

Silverfield seems like a complete bust.
The Russian isn't looking good right now.
G5 Jon is a mixed bag. I think we are prisoners of the moment regarding the blowout at Como.
Stein looks like a good hire.
Ole Miss didn't even buy a ticket for the coaching carousel.
Lane was the only known quantity of the off season hires.

I don't recall one Arkansas fan saying 'let's wait a year. Too many looking for coaches"..

We did. Maybe you missed it, but many of us absolutely did.

Besides, that's not even my point. My point is to line up the next hire first. And if you can't then you wait. Fans aren't in a position to line up the next hire

Now that ALL Teams can buy players, AU can't even have a winning season.

These are the facts and they are documented.

Their "issue" is their G6-caliber roster - only money will solve that.
They're paying +$30million for that G6 roster. Gotta be nauseating to the donor$ forking out that hefty NIL payday and having to witness that shite on the field.

I’m starting to wonder if NIL and portal actually makes it harder to turn around because every year so many new knuckleheads come in that you lose what little momentum you gained changing the culture.

It has definitely killed any sort of team continuity. Coaches almost have to start from scratch every year.

If I am an AU fan here is my concern. Alex Golesh thought Brown was his answer at QB and brought him with him. Brown has been terrible. Offensive play calling has been abysmal. AUs defense has kept them in games. If Golesh cannot evaluate players any better than that, they are in a bind.

Don't pick on Auburn guys. They're really going through it. Yet another mediocre coach is crashing and burning while Alabama makes 1 hire in 17 years and NAILS it, and gets right back to being a top 5 program year in and year out.

What do you think Golesh could've done differently? He brought his experienced, mature (5th yr senior) QB + several olinemen with him, they all know his system, schemes and terminology. That alone should've eased the transition somewhat.

They are weak on the lines, and that doesn't bode well vs SEC competition. The oline is undisciplined an inconsistent, they were flagged for illegal procedure half a dozen times vs the Vols and that RT could've easily been flagged 2-3 more times that weren't called. It's not easy for a QB to operate through pre-snap penalties while trying to execute the game plan. Then center is getting beat 75% of the time, and they still haven't resolved the LT position as players rotate in & out.

Playcalling is suspect and defense is inconsistent. Coaching deficiencies are glaring and their October slate is brutal. Dragging that program off the floor of the SEC is a herculean task, it will take time and patience. Patience in that fanbase is wearing thin.

Pasture is more fitting but the announcers go all in for hyperbole.
