To watch baseball the tip is get multiple TVs to watch a few games at once. Or spli screen your big screen.
But going to a game is a ton more fun..

1. The field is huge. Shrink it
2. Too many players on the field. Limit it to 3 forwards, 2 defenders and a goalie
3. Players should get to come in and out whenever they want. Don’t stop the game.
4. Encourage fighting, don’t punish it.
5. Shrink the goal.
6. Ice everywhere.

I can appreciate the skill …but there is a reason why little kids play it better than they do other sports. It is kicking a ball and trying to get it in the net. Simple rules…and simple skills. Not simple to do well..but kids can kick a ball before they can catch or throw. And look how complicated the rules and fundamentals are in other sports. It’s boring…mostly standing or walking…and players flop like fish. I watched off and on..and tried. But can’t care.

I remember the first time I ever saw an organized soccer game. It was in the fall of 1975 at Nimitz Jr. High in Tulsa Oklahoma...
We had just run regional cross country and next to our course... a soccer game was going on.
Our coach who was a real conservative Christian guy looked over at it and said... "that is not an American game"...and shook his head in disgust.
I was just thinking that Tulsa was maybe just a more upscale and sophisticated place than our town.

I think, as with baseball, it's a sport that you have to had played to truly appreciate.
It's also easy to see how full of shite these players are with the fake injuries. In American football if you see a player laying on the ground holding his knee you're almost certain he's done for the year.
