There have been some really soso moments in the World Cup. Not being a soccer fan I’ve tried to be fair and watch without criticism. I have concluded soccer is like Baseball. The first 80 minutes are flat out boring. Baseball is that way. Inning 1-7 really are yawn sessions for me.

Also, never seen more fake injuries. Touch a person and they fall to the ground in agonizing pain. One minute later they’re up and running full bore.

I’ll be glad when over and we move on to a real sport. AMERICAN Football!

Some teams can only defend and pray. The talent discrepancy is huge in some of these games.

I think it more closely compares to hockey, only hockey guys are not little beeches. They will take an arse whipping and get up and skate over to the penalty box without saying a word.

For so long the US has been on the wrong side of this scenario. We look like an actual soccer club now. Been a pleasure to watch this team play.

I think, as with baseball, it's a sport that you have to had played to truly appreciate. I can't watch it. I'd like to get into it, but I just can't. But GO USA!!!

It absolutely is. Difficult to appreciate how hard some of this stuff is that they do.

What makes soccer special to me, a team can totally dominate the game and still only win by 1 goal. A true team sport

Beautiful sport, the athletes are so fluid

Baseball is nothing like soccer.

It was the most popular sport in America for decades with stadiums reaching 100,000 in attendance.

1. They run like 8 miles a game. Thats a battle in itself. I can’t imagine John Kruk running 1 mile.

2. Anyone who saw England v. Mexico saw a brawl, not a bunch of faking and whining.

And I'm not old as frick and think soccer is absolutely awful.

So there you go. It's got nothing to do with age.

That's the most impressive soccer match I've ever seen. It actually held my attention for 90 minutes (plus stoppage).
