Doesn't a TRO just keep someone from imposing a rule for a "temporary" time? If the NCAA eventually wins the Chambliss case and told you not to play him then you get to vacate any wins he played in.

That’s not how it works. The TRO is in place to prevent the NCAA from punishing Chambliss and Ole Miss for playing him this season. They can’t retroactively punish Ole Miss either for doing something a REAL COURT allowed. That’s literally the point of the TRO genius.

Clemson says he did sign there.

Prove it. Show the contract and the related terms. Show the damages for breaking the contract and the remedies stipulated in the contract.

The problem is Clemson stupidly didn’t sign a rev share agreement with Firelli so the actual school has no contract with Firelli.

Meanwhile Princewill Dottery and Harper all signed rev share agreements with Ole Miss and broke those contracts therefore LSU owes Ole Miss actual damages since an actual contract was violated. Not to mention the tampering involved by LSU to get those players.

The court ruling has precedence. The NCAA can't punish the parties while the case works its way through the system.

Don’t worry your butt fricking is still coming September 19th

What’s it like knowing the entire country hates your team and your coach and you will still go 8-4? Enjoy the Texas Roadhouse bowl for the 4th time in 5 seasons. Just different.

I'll leave it to someone else to repost all the proof you had that Kiffin would not leave Ole Myth and that his assistant coaches would not follow him to LSU.

They'll have to.

Maybe, but you have a terrible track record of being incorrect.

Didn't LSU buy those agreements out?

So since he can't play in the pros, he can just do another TRO in front of the same biased judge and he can play at Ole Miss forever. I think the NCAA is going to resolve this issue or they are really done.

That's a steep price tag. If Ole Miss is smart they will just give them the finger. The NCAA has no subpoena power.

Since a formal complaint was made and it is an official investigation OM is required to comply, or they face penalties for noncompliance. Either way it is probably a slap on the wrist at most, but who knows The NCAA is desperate for a win. They will comply but probably won't face anything to worry about.

19.2.3 Responsibility to Cooperate. Current and former institutional staff members, and prospective and enrolled student-athletes of member institutions have an affirmative obligation to cooperate fully with and assist the NCAA enforcement staff, the Committee on Infractions and the Infractions Appeals Committee to further the objectives of the Association and its infractions program. Full cooperation includes, but is not limited to: (Adopted: 11/1/07 effective 8/1/08, Revised: 10/30/12 effective 8/1/13, 7/31/14, 8/8/18)

(a) Affirmatively reporting instances of noncompliance to the Association in a timely manner and assisting in developing full information to determine whether a possible violation has occurred and the details thereof;

(b) Timely participation in interviews and providing complete and truthful responses;

(c) Making a full and complete disclosure of relevant information, including timely production of materials or information requested, and in the format requested;

(d) Disclosing and providing access to all electronic devices used in any way for business purposes;

(e) Providing access to all social media, messaging and other applications that are or may be relevant to the investigation; and

(f) Preserving the integrity of an investigation and abiding by all applicable confidentiality rules and instructions.

No chance they just give in and allow a forensic scan of all those coaches' phones. Not only are there privacy issues involved, there's no telling what other skeletons the NCAA woule discover. It would be easier just to admit to tampering and take the slap on the wrist. Or just tell them to frick off like everyone other than Scott Woodward would do.

So what you’re saying is there is zero relevance.

I also definitely enjoy the cognitive dissonance from LSU fans. As if some of their own predictions and statements didn’t also fall flat on their faces

That wasn’t a real court. That was an ole miss booster who thankfully for ole miss is a judge and got that case in his court room.
