This. The whole corn dogs "insult" has always confused me even more because of the fact that the smell and taste of corn dogs is GREAT
Good god people, get a grip. Calling LSU fans "corn dogs" is NOT really an "insult and it has nothing to do with how corn dogs taste, or whether some mythical person ever wrote something similar about Nebraska (no one has ever shown such a post).
This is strictly about how LSU fans and Baton Rouge smell... read the original Auburn article...in it the author stresses that it makes no sense that Baton Rouge and its denizens should smell like corn dogs.. but they do. He notes that they are very sensitive to smelling that way. So don't mention it around them, or sniff wrong, or laugh at the wrong time or you might get a brick through your car window.
Sorry all you cob-carrying corn doggies... it is too late to protest or deny, or defer, or deflect. The whole of the US now calls LSU fans "corn dogs." When it is on national TV, and Wisconsin fans, BYU fans etc., are referring to ya'll as "corn dogs," the corn dog ship has sailed.
Just get used to it, and it isn't really an insult, well... not exactly... maybe a little bit, but not so insulting as it is denigrating and laughable. The real question for the corn doggies is... mustard or catsup?

Does everything smell like it's deep fried to you?
You need to stop by the LP next time you're in town and they'll show you how to smoke your meth instead of snorting it.

I've seen it on this board, but have never actually heard some called a corndog IRL. Seems to be a message board thing, not an actual game day thing.....either way, it doesnt bother me at all.
Corndog away!
Now jorts, that's funny!

Hahah. No way I'm reading all of that dude. Just give it up. Or don't, it's honestly funnier watching all of you try to wrestle with this. Keep the corn dogs coming

Exactly, Assnola is trying soooooooooo hard to justify his sick fantasies that he's turned to comedy fiction. So desperate. It's so sad....maybe he should turn to sexting and baking outside Home Depot while straddling his little bammy balls in public on another man's shoulders...

I don't care how many times you say it, I still love corndogs.

It is so stupid that it is funny and then certain people who get upset about it while acting like they aren't makes it funnier still.

No, who cares what band geeks do

The first time I heard LSU reference to corndog was by Katy Perry on a Saturday pregame before a LSU/Ole Miss game.
You seem to waste quite a bit of time trying to make the name sake stick and I am sure the joke will stick with some geeks but in the end LSU is known for a tailgating school with a tough stadium to play in.
I promise you most Louisiana people don't care
