If Heupel and Kelly coached This years UGA team they would get same results. But if Kirby was at UT or LSU could he get same results? It’s one thing to have the best players and win, but it’s something different when you can win with a depleted roster and developing talent you haves Kirby been at UGA for 5 or 6 years now. Kelly is in his 1st year and Heupel is in his 2nd year. Kelly and Heupel have been more impressive.

IFFFFF we make it back to the NC game it should be Kirby given the job he's done after losing 15 to the draft last year.

And FSU amirite????? LSU clearly best team in the country. Who cares about losses? Those don't mean anything. It's Josh Huepel and its not close.

Correct response

All that $$$$
All that warm weather
All that in state talent
All that population
All the top recruits

Takes a real special coach to lose with all the advantages

You can name anyone you'd like and Huepel and Kelly have done a fine job, but if you break it down, so far, it's Kirby. You say 5 stars, who got those 5 stars there, Kirby. He's got a walk-on, small QB, best WR is a 2 star. Team depleated from attrition and being drafted. #1 team in the country, just beat the #1 team and has beaten OU. I mean, there's your man, right there.

Resurrecting a program? It has to go to Brian Kelly. What he has done in such a short amount of time is unreal.
This is typically who should get the award.

Most difficult coaching job?
Probably kirby. To lose that many defensive players and the defensive coordinator and to be able to shut down the 2019 LSU offense like he did is near impossible.

We knew the offense would improve over 2021. But it is not a 5 star offense (LT Broderick Jones and 2nd TE Darnell Washington). The offense does not have to go through Brock Bowers to be successful.
Bama fans tell us a team can't win without their #1 WR (or 1st round worthy WRs).
And it is the 4th best scoring offense against P5 at 41.3 ppg (right behind offensively talent laden Ohio State).

Ole Miss fans are so butthurt that LSU isn’t sinking to the bottom of the division. You guys thought you were taking over, didn’t you?

Here’s a hint: Don’t be like Aggy. It’s a bad, bad look.

Like it or not but Heupel is coach of the year. Kelly took over a team that won a national that won a national title in 2019.

Take the glasses off

He has done and excellent job but Kelly has done a better one. He inherited 39 scholarship players and picked up 46 new ones and is about to do in year one what JH hasnt done in year 2.

Tennessee was as good as the 2019 lsu offense. They promised me.

Imagine shutting them down to 1 TD in garbage time, a field goal off a turnover, and one more drive that net 3 points.

Coach of the year, right?
Well do it after losing 5 first rounders, losing the butkis award winner, and losing the DC.
Coaching job of the century. 2019 LSU was that good.

Again what does anything that happened in 2019 have to do with COY THIS year?

I always say football is football no matter what conference a coach comes in. The separation comes down to the talent level.

Tennessee will be an absolute juggernaut in 2024. Keep talking shite though. We will likely make the playoffs and can win it all this year if things play out correctly.

LSU's Brian Kelly.

I am biased, but I agree.

If he wins out and plays Georgia to within two touchdowns, I think he should win it.
