So far this season, my choice for SEC Coach-of-the-Year Award

LSU's Brian Kelly. I mean, is there any doubt about this -- at least, so far?
LSU has come on like gangbusters and I can bet that Tennessee would NOT savor a rematch with the Tigers at all.
That OT/2-PT conversion Saturday was a gutsy call and the Tigers cashed in. That falls on the HC.
Kelly ain't 'fraid of nothin' the SEC can throw at him and he's proven it -- so far. Congratulations!

Bill O’Brien. He’s done a lot for Tennessee and LSU this year.

It's Kirby. Why are you dick-riding?

With what Kelly walked into he 100% deserves it

Heupel and it's not even close.

Pete Golding was more responsible for Bama giving Tennessee false hope.

Depends on the metric. If the metric is exceeding expectations, it has to JH, maybe Kelly. If it is the best coach, there is no question - Kirby.

It is a three man race: Kelly, Kirby, and Heupel.
Right now, I'm feeling Kelly. That depleted roster just screams failure. But, if LSU should falter again, and Tennessee keeps on winning, I may feel like Heupel deserves it.
Kirby, however, has to be in there. He just keeps on being elite in ever facet of coaching, and that should never be discounted. Someone has to recruit all the five stars, and just a couple of years ago, Kirby was being slammed for player development.
I guess who any one person thinks should get the nod depends upon how they view what qualities are being graded.

If he shows up at the SECC game with just two losses, he’s national COY.
39 scholarship bowl returnees + 46 new players. Well done.

Kelly is going to do in year one what Heupel has failed to do in year 2.

from 39 scholarship players in december for a bowl game follwing the most disappointing season in 20 years to beating auburn, florida (both on the road), ole miss and bama in year one with what will be his "worst team".
all the while having the #3 recruiting class. I think he'd definetly in the running for COTY

Coach is the year is Heupel. He has done more with less than any other coach in the SEC. Pre Season rankings had UT 3rd in the East and 7th in SEC. And here we are sitting at 2nd in the East and SEC. Huepel has also went 3-1 against teams with more team talent. According to 247 Team composite talent 2022 here the rankings of teams that had more talent than UT and game results.
1. Alabama- W 52-49
2.UGA- L 24-13
8.LSU- W 40-13 @ LSU
12. UF- W 38-33
19. UT
Like it or not but Heupel is coach of the year. Kelly took over a team that won a national that won a national title in 2019.
Heupel took over a team that won 3 games in 2020.

We set a record for nfl draft picks last year, and even gave a wr to bama. To add to it, We lost our best WR again, and top 2 defenders barely played together. We even lost our elite DC to Oregon.

They curb stomped the 2 best teams they played. Talented teams lay eggs all the time. Especially coming off of a championship and losing key players. All 3 have done outstanding so far.
