With this kind of logic your list of a good college football team can be narrowed down to about a list of 5 teams.

College football is in a different era now. No teams just stick out as super dominant its a very compact anyone can beat anyone at the top because the depth on rosters is not the same as it was. schedules are getting harder, nil, portal.

Josh Pates rankings has a 2 point difference between the teams from 2-20
Lane Kiffen said there is no such thing as dynasties anymore in this era of CFB. You have to change your perspective with the evolution of the sport.

Miami is the clear #1 even with their soft as pudding schedule but they'll eventually have to do it against equal talent. Oh St hasn't proven shite.

The SEC is a pretender conference this year.

Disagree with this.

Possible.

2 months left to play. Teams will improve and some will take steps back from injuries and the grind of conference play.

A lot of teams have a shot in the CFPs if they hit it on a hot streak, avoid injuries, and get matchups that favor them.

That said, Miami does look to be a very solid team. And, the OSU will get stronger as the year goes and their QB gets more experience.

I don't even like Miami and I don't see how y'all call their schedule weak. Look at other power 4 schools schedules to this point and name me 5 teams who have played a week in and week out tougher schedule through 6 weeks.

Since you clearly struggle with reading let me repeat something from my post.

"Ohio State only beat this horribly coached Texas team, at home, by 1 TD"

Judging from that, you can pretty clearly see that Ohio State won the game. I'm really not sure what your point is.
Other than feeling good about barely beating a terrible football team at home?

Top 5 based on actual game schedule/results should be:

1. Miami
2. Texas Tech
3. Texas A&M
4. Ole Miss
5. Ohio St

Here is what we can all agree on.

The National Title is not between Texas and Penn State. AP Preseason 1 & 2

OSU still has a defensive backfield full of elite DB and an elite WR corps with a serviceable OL. They could easily go undefeated in the regular season if Day can manage to get over the “hump” that is the Michigan game.

Miami, sure.

Ohio State has a one TD win over the team Florida just beat, blew out an FCS team, a .500 G5 team, and two unranked P4s. They've won every game except the one against Texas by a giant margin, but every game except one has been at home and the rest of the schedule hasn't been impressive.

Missouri has looked just as good.

Ohio State in B1G is equivalent to OU in the Big 12. One or two tough games every season while the rest of the game are cakewalk.

That 14-7 win over Texas has definitely lost some luster after what Sunbelt Billy and the Gators were able to do.

SEC is a pretender conference is a stupid take. Stupid. Stupidity on many different levels, actually. Which takes away from anything else in the post.

No team has really stood out this year so far. Now, there are teams with potential to be really good - Ohio State, Bama, etc., but they either haven't played anyone good (Ohio State) or have looked really bad in at least 1 game (Bama - FSU game).

It's a very weak year, and it's wide open. Last year's Ohio State team, for example, would steamroll every single team this year. In a hypothetical matchup, they'd beat this year's Ohio State team by at least 3 TD's. Heck, you could argue that the entire final 4 last year (Ohio State, Texas, ND, PSU) would beat every team this year in a hypothetical matchup.

People say ND isn’t good. Insufficient data. They lost by a tiny margin to two T5 teams. Oregon looks pretty good as well. tOSU are the defending champs and beat Texas, but we are finding out that doesn’t mean very much.
