UAB has done that all by themselves

All SEC teams should cancel their OOC games and schedule cupcakes if only wins and losses matter..we want Slippery Rock.

The SECCG has to go..UGA lost a QB and a punter, UT had injuries too plus would have been considered conference champ without this game,.

If you Alabama fans need to blame somebody, blame Jalen Milroe. He couldn't even produce a single touchdown vs OU, but gifted them 2 of them. He is single most responsible for losing that game, and win that, and Alabama would be a lock.

I will be so damn glad to see him gone.

No, we wouldn’t. We’d never condone something that would incentivize getting rid of great regular season matchups. Bama fans love college football, and it’s why Birmingham is always the 3rd highest market share of any big CFB game not including Bama.

OMG, what a complete pile of horseshite.

Is that you Karine Jean-Pierre?

Yes, Milroe is the problem. I don't particularly want to see him in the playoffs, but that's a different discussion. Bama is obviously the most deserving team for number 12.

Fixed it for you. The above is way more accurate in reality as LSU fans have completely debased themselves on this issue.

Very dumb cherry picking arguments. That's how sub 100 IQ people argue and make decisions and is why they are stuck at 5 figures and wonder why.

The correct way to analyze anything is fully encompassing 360 degree view. And a fully encompassing 360 degree view is 75th ranked SOS and 2 losses vs 18th ranked SOS and 3 losses. 18th ranked SOS and 3 losses is better.

Of course you can go with who would win a fricking game between the 2 and Bama would easily be a favorite.

And if you want to cherry pick, then you a cherry pick response is that SMU couldn't even begin to dream of going into baton rouge at night and winning by 29 nor beat UGA.

Getting blown out by a 6-6 team while not scoring a single touchdown is not cherry picking.

Ignoring that is overlooking the entire orchard.

I'm glad that SMU has had a great season and won't be upset if they get in the playoff - BUT - this is a school with mega deep pockets that is suddenly able to buy good players (legally) right out of their own backyards. Desoto, Duncanville, South Oak Cliff - the elite football suburbs around DFW, not to mention the pipeline they currently have into Miami neighborhoods. They can pull good talent now, which will make recruiting that much tougher for schools like Texas, OU, Arkansas, LSU, and others, thanks to NIL.

They will likely remain in the picture as a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. I went to watch them play Baylor when they had Craig James and Eric Dickerson in the same backfield. It'll happen again, bank on it.

So you blame SMU for being in a weak conference and playing a schedule they didn't make?

I blame SMU for not winning a single ranked match up. They had 2 opportunities and failed both times to take advantage. Sorry, when you play as weak a schedule as they have, you almost have zero room for error and you need to show you can win what little big games you have. They do not deserve to be in the playoffs playing ranked opponents. Alabama has proven it can beat ranked teams, SMU has not. Alabama is the better choice for potential matchups.

You big mad…lol

Don’t worry little buddy, the committee is about to keep you from losing to Cal ever again since AU won’t schedule P4 teams OOC anymore.

It might not save your from New Mexico St, though. Eventually, you’re going to have to win those G5 games.

If you want to talk about intelligence, it's generally ignorant people that can't reasonably and rationally debate a topic or subject, and resort to personal insults to make their feeble point.

All Alabama had to do was beat an 5-5 Oklahoma team and there would be no argument. Reasonable Alabama fans understand this.

Better than a person living in Alabama whose sister rides him.

Yeah, I would put SMU in. Bama should have beat their cupcake games.
But I'm fine if Bama gets in.
