nobody cares except for georgia and florida fans. just move to a home and home and be done with it. georgia would prefer it anyway because they think jacksonville is somehow home field advantage for florida.

We don't do that in Jacksonville. We only do that to Auburn fans.

It isn't going anywhere.

Jax always gets pumped for more money.

Unfortunately for Jax, the next negotiation won't be versus the home/home payouts. It will be versus other cities (ATL). That alone would be a significant bump.

Jax will continue to pay it. They owe it to the schools. And the schools owe it to Jax to have the opportunity to retain it.

It is the best thing for UGA (I presume FL as well?)

That’s actually not a bad idea.

There's lots of Auburn fans and alum in Jacksonville. Innocent bystander fans could get hit with a loogie by a missed shot.

If an auburn fan gets spit on, there ain’t nothing “missed” about it nor is the recipient “innocent” in any biblical, moral, or legal sense of the word, ya rat heathen motherfrickers

Mutts just trying to swindle more money from the City of Jax to keep the game there. They do this every time the contract is renegotiated.

Uh, what exactly does Florida do when the contract comes up for renegotiation, demand LESS money?

Isn't that why they have "negotiate[ions]" in the first place? What else would be negotiated besides money? What other opposition in the negotiations would expect a school to take besides the side of demanding more money?

Like I mentioned in an earlier thread I think it would benefit both teams to go to home and home. The extra home game every other year would be beneficial with both scheduling and recruiting.

Whether or not that ever happens, or at least anytime soon I kind of doubt.

What a dumbass, UGA benefits more from playing it in Jacksonville than UF. UF can recruit the State of Florida without that game.

UGA fans spend much more money in Jax than UF fans.It a Day trip for many UF folks...not so much with UGA folks.

The only reason it has been a relevant game the last 25 years is when UF has been making a NC run. The only reason it was televised as a prime game was because of the mystic of the “Cocktail Party”.

Home and home and it's a regular rivalry game atmosphere. In Jacksonville it's an event. People from both sides pack that place, and it's an awesome spectacle.

Neither host recruits during the game and Kirby's point was that he loses a recruiting weekend.

I get that the game gives a "presence" down in Jax but I really don't think it makes a difference to kids outside of Jax.

I honestly don't think Kirby is negotiating or bluffing.Recruiting is obviously priority one with him.
