Playcaller?

Auburn fans have been complaining that Gus wouldn't allow his OC's to call the plays and he had gotten stale in his playcalling.

Now they celebrate that he has announced he will do the playcalling and it will make all the difference in the world.

Because the lore of the World Largest Cocktail Party enabled the Networks a chance to market the game. UF still had the FSU game to have some relevancy, but UGA could say the same.

I understand the point you are trying to make, but I still think it is misguided.

ND/USCw
Texas/OU
Alabama/Auburn
OSU/Michigan
UGA/Auburn
LSU/Alabama

are all great rvialries that do not rely on location. I won't deny that WLOCP give is an added edge, but the game would still be huge because of the teams involved.

Yes, Florida would have FSU and UGA would still have GT and Auburn. GT has lost some of it's luster, but the same could be said about USC/ND and Texas/OU and Florida/FSU. When a team falls on hard times that happens.

Macon isnt that far from Athens. If South GA UGA fans would be butt hurt about this, they can drive to Athens or Gainesville every year if/when its moved to home and home.

How in the hell is Jacksonville neutral when its 70 miles from Gainesville and over 300 from Athens?
