Yep. It's just Will Wade..

I mean no, it's not just him. And it's been going on before NIL (see Kentucky and Enes Kanter).

But he got blazen enough about it that the NCAA had their "Alright now" moment. I have no doubt other coaches probably complained over it.

Feel free to please point them out.

No one has to point them out, man. He isn't recruiting against himself. There's a reason the numbers are so high. There are multiple bidders. What if I told you that Flordia has as many or more international players on their roster?

On another note have you rebuked all the LSU fans who are celebrating LSU’s Europros after condemning Alabama and Bediako?

No, I don't participate in threads about Alabama because I don't care about other schools.

Who cares. Someone will sue and the NCAA will get rolled again. They are going to have to make them employees under contracts that cut out all the shenanigans. Then I'll watch the better professional leagues.

That’s essentially what I meant by “Who knows if they have the agency or the cojones to pull this off prior to the '26–'27 season.”

If Auburn has to lose their Europro so be it.

I'd rather have a sport worth watching in 5 years.

I do fully believe that after what the NCAA did to him after his first stint with LSU, Wade is absolutely taking the structure that the NCAA currently has and is daring them to do something.

The NCAA can bluster and fuss all they want, but they have been defanged. Not saying it’s good for college sports, because it’s not, but frick what the NCAA had been doing for decades and frick them now.

The ncaa is absolutely retarded and should be ignored.

What are you suggesting they’ve been doing, and what exactly would you like to see that’s not already happening?

I agree with jangalang in that this is a Pandora’s box that’s bad for the sport.

And I say this from the perspective that college basketball is probably the most corrupt sport there is, but I’d still rather see my team suffer temporarily as opposed to making it unwatchable.

I’m hunting for basketball season tickets for the first time in my life. I’d say whatever he’s doing here is already working. If nothing else we have shown more times than not, we will spend our way out of a mess.

Sorry for partying.

I have repeatedly said the system is broken. I didn’t agree with Oats trying to bring back Bediako, and in hindsight it looks like an even worse idea.

I didn't agree with Oates bringing back Bediako either but it was disingenous of critics to act like he was the first coach to bring on a G league player or a pro or semi-pro Euro player.

The fact that critics pretended to not see Oate's point of essentially forcing a ruling on a G league player with a year of college eligibility left when other teams have been signing G league players and pro/semi pro Euro players fo NIL deals left and right was laughably hypocritical.

I didn't think Oates bringing Bediako back was worth the heat that doing so was going to bring himself and the program but at least it showed how ridiculously arbitrary the NCAA's eligibility rules are when it comes to how some G League and pro/semi-pro Euros are apparently ok while some players being eligible to play under very circumstances aren't.

If Will Wade is able to get his Euro league pros eligible it'll be hilarious seeing how the NCAA justifies it. I don't blame Wade and LSU for trying though given how Euro pros seem to get a pass from the NCAA

Exactly. A guy who plays one year of college basketball and signs a contract is immediately ineligible. But a guy in Europe can sign a pro contract, play professionally for 8 seasons, and then have full eligibility in college. It is not logical.

I have no doubt the NCAA wanted to ignore it, but it has become such an issue that the NCAA has been forced to address it.

The fact that Wade announced all these commitments 2 weeks after the NCAA sent out guidance on it - essentially telling coaches to knock it off - feels like Wade was sending a shot directly at the NCAA. I suspect that even in their weakened state the NCAA still has a few torpedos.

Every one of these foreign born Europros is taking a roster spot and scholarship from a U.S. high schooler.

Honestly, frick 'em.

Wade inherited zero players. His job and responsibility is to build a good team for LSU, not kowtow to a bunch of pussies who don't like him anyway.

You're a pussy.

Why are so many other teams recruiting the same players if it's so evil?

It seems like you and Will Wade agree on the matter

A pro is a pro. All these euroleage and g league players should be ineligible. College sports has gotten beyond ridiculous.
