BYU had the 9th best rushing defense in the nation last year. Might be hard to get to a double digit win kicking field goals.

Says the guy invested so much in that game after taking a brutal pounding by MSU last year.

You lost to them last year in 2 OTs. You have no discernible reason to think you'll win by "17-27" points with the defense they have returning. That's laughable.

All wrong, We have then at home. We have a QB who played his first season last year. We won't be playing a 5-9 / 165 lb RB this year. Our OL is going to be much better and our defense is most talented of any year under Mullen. We gonna win by big points.

Not really... I just think your claim of winning by 17+ points due to MSU rushing attack isn't realistic when you're playing the 9th ranked rushing defense in the nation.

Still won't offset the horses coming at them. 275 of mature weight makes no difference, it's still 275

Les miles and cam Cameron don't coach at lsu anymore.
But remember when Cameron was hired how LSU fans thought that he'd transform the offense into an NFL prototype that no team would be able to stop?

Of course. CBS says the Tigers are the most overrated team in the universe.

Well if they are right there will be a lot for them to write and boast about. If they are wrong they can focus on their sweetheart teams and forget the Tigers exist.

No I get that those guys are older and more physically mature. But Rashard Lawrence is going to dog-sled push that TE sized tackle right back into the QB. And when they send extra to help with Lawrence, Chaisson will have free shots.

I tend to agree. They didn't push MSU around last year and that defense was putrid

If they lose to BYU they are done for the year and Orgeton will be the shortest tenured coach since Mike Price.

You coonasses have been trying to convince us for years that you had the second best HC in the SEC, and now that you fired him, he sucks?

are you actually retarded

also, yes. There was no scandal. He was fired because his coaching began to suck, bigly.

Almost seemed like Miles was openly defying the demands to modernize his offense.

LSU should beat BYU but you shouldn't sleep on them.

Since going Independent in 2011, they are a respectable 14-14 against Power 5 teams. They have four this year - LSU, Utah, Wisconsin and Mississippi State. If history is any indicator, they will go 2-2.

Last year BYU had 9 wins, beat Miss St, and came within 4 points from beating West Virginia and UCLA.

Last year, LSU lost to Wisconsin by 2, Auburn by 5, Florida by 6, and held Alabama scoreless into the 4th quarter. The losses still count the same. UCLA went 4-8 last year (with wins over 4-8 OSU, 3-9 Arizona, and 4-8 UNLV) so I'm not quite sure how losing to them is a badge of honor for BYU.

It's not a badge of honor but UCLA has an NFL QB who threw for 307 yds and 2 TDs. They were able to attack BYU's defensive weakness. If LSU had anybody that was even half the QB Rosen is, I'd pick LSU big.

I don't really care how good their QB was/is, UCLA was not a good football team last year by any metric. You know what BYU couldn't do? Score on a UCLA team that have up 27.5 points a game last year. They also only mustered 25 rushing yards to a UCLA team that allowed 171/game. If you're just looking at pure matchups, how do you think they stack up against LSU's defense? Honest question.

BYU beat two FBS teams last year with a winning record, Toledo and Wyoming
